As an Associate Project Manager, you will leverage your superior organization, process improvement, and communication skills to support efficiency and scalability of the Business Program Management Organization (PMO). In this role, you will have the opportunity to strategically standardize processes and build tools and templates to optimize the team’s work. In the long term, you will also have the chance to own and drive aspects of ongoing projects.

 This role will be based on Boston, MA and up to 25% travel may be required.


Responsibilities:

With support from PM, lead the development and launch of templates, tools and processes to enable PMO standardization and scale

  • Become familiar with structure of the PMO and all location of all existing tools, process flows, and documentation
  • Begin a monthly PM document audit process to identify areas for remediation; track metrics around audits and share with leadership
  • Identify areas for improvement regarding the PMO workflow and proactively provide solution suggestions
  • Produce new templates and tools for broad use across the PMO (and standardize all previous templates)
  • Educate the PMO on best practices for project workflows (ex. intake process, various tools and templates to use, documentation, etc.)

Maintain and build upon existing Business PM intranet and tracking/communication tools

  • Assume ownership of Business Project Management communication tools (including the Root site, Project Portfolio, and Project Online)
  • Define a strategy to improve the value and visit rate of Business PM intranet

Develop an automated dashboard that enables real time access to project status for all active projects and demands for senior and executive stakeholder audiences

  • Collect data to inform a project management dashboard
  • Create and maintain a project management dashboard to share with management on a regular basis

Demonstrate ability to take on a project coordinator or project management role to scale with the organizations

  • Assume ownership of at least one project workstream

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years professional experience working in a project management group or function
  • Demonstrated success with process improvement
  • Prior experience creating project management artifacts
  • Familiar with document management tools and best practices (ex. Sharepoint, Confluence, BI tools, Visio/Lucid Chart, etc.)

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
