The Role: Project ManagerAs a Project Manager, you will support customer implementations and strategic connectivity initiatives throughout the sales lifecycle. This role partners closely with Sales, Solutions Architecture, carrier partners, and customers to coordinate project delivery, maintain clear communication, and ensure services are delivered accurately and on schedule.
You will also contribute to engineering-related initiatives that support connectivity design, infrastructure planning, and customer solution development while helping maintain a seamless customer experience.
What You’ll Do-
Participate in customer meetings during the pre-sales process to support technical discussions and project planning.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with customer stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Serve as a central point of coordination between customers, carrier partners, and internal Switch teams.

Communicate project milestones, schedules, risks, and deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinate multiple carrier vendors to ensure services are delivered accurately and on schedule.

Support post-sales customer requests, including upgrades, moves, adds, and changes, while coordinating with the Sales team as appropriate.

Develop and maintain customer-facing and internal project plans throughout implementation.

Support engineering initiatives assigned by the Solutions Architecture team, including fiber diversity studies, mapping projects, and infrastructure documentation.

Expand technical knowledge through ongoing learning related to telecommunications engineering, connectivity infrastructure, and project management tools.

Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned.

You communicate clearly and build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

You manage multiple complex projects while maintaining attention to detail.

You balance customer expectations with operational requirements and project timelines.

Required
-
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-
Six or more years of customer-facing experience within the telecommunications industry.
-
Experience managing multiple concurrent telecommunications or infrastructure projects.

Strong understanding of telecommunications products and network services, including:

Ethernet
-
MEF services
-
Wavelength services
-
IP networking
-
MPLS
-
SD-WAN
-
Voice services
-
Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)

Experience coordinating work across internal teams, customers, carriers, and external partners.

Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Experience using project management software.
Preferred
-
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
-
ITIL certification.
-
Experience with data center architecture or mission-critical infrastructure.

Familiarity with engineering tools such as Visio, Google Earth, Fiber Locator, or similar technologies.
