We are seeking an experienced and dynamic project manager to join our team. This role is primarily focused on end‑to‑end project management, with secondary responsibility for identifying and advancing targeted operational transformation opportunities within fund operations.
The successful candidate will independently lead complex initiatives, partner closely with operational and technology teams, and provide clear, effective communication to senior management and executive stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities:
- Independently lead multiple concurrent, cross‑functional projects impacting mutual fund and alternative fund operations, spanning technology implementations, regulatory initiatives, third‑party transitions, operational enhancements, and product events
- Own end‑to‑end project delivery, including scope definition, planning, execution, risk and issue management, governance, and project closure
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies, dashboards, and risk logs to ensure timely, transparent delivery and executive‑level reporting
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks, including evaluating and addressing operational control and regulatory impacts of process or product changes
- Prepare and present clear, concise updates to senior management, articulating operational, control, accounting, and regulatory implications and key decisions
- Partner with fund operations and business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver targeted operational transformation initiatives that improve controls, reduce risk, and enhance regulatory readiness
- Act as a liaison between business teams and Agile delivery squads to drive adoption, manage change, and implement sustainable future‑state processes, including tactical solutions where appropriate
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline, with 10+ years of experience in asset management or financial services
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.
- Deep understanding of mutual fund and alternative fund operations, including fund accounting, regulatory requirements, risk, audit, and operational oversight
- Proven ability to independently lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives from initiation through completion
- Strong experience assessing operational controls and risk implications across fund accounting, reporting, and oversight functions
- Demonstrated business analysis expertise, including requirements gathering, process mapping, current‑ vs. future‑state analysis, and impact assessment
- Effective influencer and communicator with experience engaging senior leaders, vendors, and technical partners, including executive‑level presentations
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills; experience with Agile teams, operational transformation, and familiarity with automation, data, or AI tools is a plus
When you join our team:
- We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.
- We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.
