Job Title: Solutions Consultant – Fact-Trak & APS-ME

Location: Green Bay or Remote (United States)
Department: Professional Services
Reports To: Director, Professional Services
Employment Type: Full time
Salary Range: USD 100,000 - 120,000

Company Overview:
For more than 40 years, The Lake Companies has been a trusted partner to manufacturers worldwide. As one of the longest-standing Infor SyteLine partners, we don’t just resell and implement software—we innovate. Our solutions, including Doc-Trak, Shop-Trak, Fact-Trak, and other Trak-Suite products, extend and accelerate the value of SyteLine / CloudSuite Industrial (CSI) for our customers.

Our Professional Services team delivers structured, outcomes-focused implementations guided by our Statement of Work (SOW) methodology, spanning discovery, solution design, data migration, education, go-live, and hypercare.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large, complex services engagements—such as Cloud Migrations, new logo SyteLine / CSI implementations, and large-scale Lake Companies solution projects.

This is a “for-revenue” project management role: you will be accountable not only for scope, schedule, and quality, but also for project financials, utilization, and margin. You will own the engagement from kickoff through final acceptance, ensuring that work is delivered according to our SOWs, MSA, and established delivery methodology.

The ideal candidate has PMP (or equivalent) credentials, deep experience in billable consulting / professional services, and a strong understanding of manufacturing ERP environments—preferably Infor SyteLine / CSI and Lake Companies solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Governance

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of large projects (Cloud Migration, new logo SyteLine / CSI implementations, major Trak-Suite deployments, and complex Mod projects).
  • Lead projects through our structured phases: Discovery & Planning, Solution Design & Deployment, Custom Development (as applicable), Data Preparation & Migration, Education & Readiness, Go-Live & Support/Hypercare.
  • Facilitate project kickoff, status meetings, steering reviews, and phase/tollgate approvals in alignment with our SOW templates.

Scope, Schedule & Risk Management

  • Translate SOWs and Functional Design Specifications into a detailed, resourced Project Plan with milestones, dependencies, and clear ownership.
  • Manage scope tightly: identify variances early, drive impact assessment, and shepherd Change Orders through our formal change management process.
  • Proactively manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies; maintain RAID logs and escalation paths.

Financial & “For-Revenue” Management

  • Own project P&L at the engagement level: track budget vs. actual, forecast remaining effort, and protect agreed margins.
  • Monitor and optimize the team’s billable utilization, rate mix, and burn against T&M estimates, caps, or fixed-fee budgets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate time entry, milestone confirmations, and alignment with billing events (phase acceptance, percentage-complete, etc.).

Customer Engagement & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary delivery contact for the customer’s Project Manager and Executive Sponsor.
  • Align project execution with customer business outcomes (e.g., improved throughput, better planning reliability, cleaner data, smoother operations).
  • Maintain clear, candid communication around status, risks, decisions, and trade-offs; facilitate executive-level readouts as needed.

Methodology & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to The Lake Companies’ SOW-based methodology, including:
    • Phase tollgates and sign-offs (Design Sign-Off, Ready for UAT, UAT Complete, Final Acceptance).
    • UAT entry/exit criteria and acceptance thresholds.
    • Documentation standards (Project Plan, Communication Plan, Configuration Workbook, FDS, Cutover Plan, Hypercare log, Final Acceptance Package).
  • Coordinate with functional consultants, technical leads, and developers to ensure that solution design and configuration align with agreed scope.

Team Coordination & Internal Collaboration

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including ERP consultants, developers, data specialists, and trainers.
  • Partner with Sales/Account Management during pre-sales and handoff to validate scope, assumptions, and estimates.
  • Provide structured feedback to leadership on delivery patterns, methodology improvements, and product opportunities.

Go-Live, Hypercare & Handoff

  • Lead cutover planning and execution for cloud transitions and CSI/SyteLine go-lives, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Oversee the hypercare period, ensuring timely resolution of critical issues and a controlled transition to standard support or subsequent SOWs.
  • Drive formal engagement closure and Final Acceptance, including documentation and transition-to-support artifacts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain/Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in a consulting / professional services or systems integrator environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex, multi-phase projects (e.g., ERP implementations, cloud migrations, or similar enterprise software rollouts).
  • Strong understanding of “for revenue” project management, including:
    • Budgeting and estimating professional services
    • Time & Materials and Fixed Fee models
    • Revenue recognition concepts and margin protection
    • Change Order governance and commercial implications.
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and execute against SOWs, MSAs, and detailed functional/technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with both executives and operational teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2 certification (or equivalent formal project management credential).
  • Experience with Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) and/or manufacturing ERP in a project or consulting context.
  • Familiarity with Lake Companies’ products (Doc-Trak, Shop-Trak, Fact-Trak, and other Trak-Suite offerings).
  • Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations management.
  • Experience managing data migration, cloud transitions, or custom Mod / integration projects using a structured FDS and UAT process.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted delivery tools (for documentation, testing, or analysis) within a governed professional services framework.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Highly self-motivated and proactive in identifying and solving problems.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to establish effective working relationships.
  • Capable of performing multiple tasks concurrently and responding effectively to emergency situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Willingness to seek assistance and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Flexibility for on-call availability, including work outside standard business hours and weekends.

What We Offer

  • Direct Impact on Customer Outcomes – Lead mission-critical projects that help manufacturers improve operations, visibility, and growth.
  • Mature, Evolving Methodology – Work within a well-defined SOW and phase-based framework, with the freedom to continuously improve our delivery playbook.
  • Professional Growth – Deepen your expertise in ERP, cloud migrations, manufacturing, and advanced implementation practices.
  • Collaborative Culture – Join a pragmatic, entrepreneurially-minded team that values transparency, accountability, and customer success.
  • Competitive Compensation – Comprehensive package including salary, incentives tied to project and business performance, benefits, and ongoing development opportunities.

If you are a PMP-minded Project Manager who thrives in billable, outcome-driven environments and wants to lead marquee implementations for manufacturers worldwide, we invite you to apply and help shape the next generation of services at The Lake Companies.

Apply today and take the next step in transforming both your career and the future of manufacturing.
