VetsEZ is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our remote team to support a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) project. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience leading large-scale program management within a dynamic environment and the ability to handle numerous high-profile projects and responsibilities while effectively influencing and negotiating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Support project management efforts for on-going technical projects.
- Create, apply, and maintain tools to track program, project, or task performance data, including cost, schedule, and performance data.
- Create routine and Ad Hoc reports.
- Work with senior management to learn and understand processes, workflows, expectations, and strategies.
- Learn and execute project management tasks such as: translate client needs into executable tasks, direct teams to successfully meet project objectives, create and track project schedules, identify tasks, coordinate individual assignments, and determine resources, as needed.
- Ensure clear communication and timely resolution of any project risks or issues.
- Build strong relationships with the customer.
- Ability to provide oral and written discussion of analytical findings using narrative and graphic forms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related scientific/technical discipline is required.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology related projects.
- Coordinate and assist in resource scheduling for internal and external resources, ensuring project remains within scope, schedule, and defined budgets.
- Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
- Provide support to Project Manager and Business Leaders.
- Experience with Agile project tracking software (e.g., Jira, GitHub) and manage help desk ticket queue.
- Knowledge and experience with formal delivery methodologies SAFe, Agile, Scrum, etc.
- Experience interfacing with senior-level stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and customer service skills.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience working with government agencies.
- Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
