About the Role:

As a Program Manager-Technical on Remitly's Global Money Movement (GMM) team, you will help build high-impact programs that minimize transaction level losses and loss-related risks while enhancing operational and product performance. You will report to Manager, Program Management and work with multiple teams like product managers, engineering, operations, reconciliation and analytics, to lead programs that protect the integrity of our customer transactions.

This is a role with a hybrid work schedule (2-3 days in office) to support team collaboration and is based in Remitly's office in Seattle, Washington. You'll report to the Manager, Program Management in this role.

You Will:

  • Design and manage programs that drive end-to-end resolution of loss-related events, ensuring mitigation and long-term prevention.
  • Lead structured investigations, root cause analysis, and solution implementation efforts.
  • Understand technical criticality of the issue to provide short- and long-term solutions to eliminate the operational or systemic issues causing financial losses.
  • Collaborate with teams, including product management, engineering, recon and operations to ensure program deliverables meet business and customer needs.
  • Establish clear mechanisms for program tracking, risk identification, and stakeholder communication. Lead monthly business reviews and align with leadership on the path forward.
  • Develop scalable infrastructure to support program growth across all Remitly products.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, with a focus on technical and cross-functional programs.
  • Experience in managing complex projects with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of technical systems and ability to translate challenges to product requirements.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams to implement systems or tool improvements.
  • Experience with money movement systems, including payment processing, foreign exchange, and treasury management would be a bonus.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $120,000 - $140,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
