About the Role

Do you have what it takes to drive the Managed Detection and Response (MDR) business to the next level? 

As a Product Marketing Manager for our MDR service, you’ll work alongside the team to grow the service business. This role will be the glue that connects our product marketing strategy to the tactics we need to drive our success in the market. 

This role requires a leader who can build relationships, inspire others, and partner cross-functionally across Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, IT, Customer Success, and Support teams to develop ongoing initiatives for driving revenue, customer acquisition, and adoption.

You’ll obsess over metrics and tracking performance, find the data to prove what’s working and what isn’t, and execute on a strategy to improve the experience and conversion across each stage of the funnel.

In this role you will:

  • Tell the MDR story - You’ll be an integral part of understanding our customers and executing on messaging and tactics to tell our story. You’ll carefully research customer needs and develop communication strategies to drive awareness, meet demand, and connect with buyers in the market. 

  • Be a content machine - This role requires you to be active in webinars, creating content, and speaking with customers about their experiences, needs, and market trends. You know how to take a piece of content and turn it into more (blogs, videos, webcasts, articles, briefs, etc.)

  • Know the buyer inside and out - You’ll be the expert on our buyers, who they are, how they buy, and their key buying criteria including where they get information, and the who, what, when, and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.

  • Build marketing programs to drive growth - Understand and champion customer needs, pain points, buyer personas, and buying criteria. Become an expert on our MDR service and how it’s differentiated vs. our competitors. Then collaborate with our marketing team to develop and execute innovative programs that drive customer acquisition, retention, and expansion.

  • Optimize the funnel - Understand what’s required to optimize across the funnel and drive market awareness, education, conversion, and adoption. Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.

  • Support our sales partners - Understand and support our sales channels; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it; empower our sales and channel teams to win!

  • Collaborate with teams across the company - We’re a collaborative group and believe it takes great teamwork from all over the company to make things happen. You’ll be a quarterback to drive and manage key projects from beginning to end.

  • Advocate for our customers - Engage directly with customer marketing to elevate our case studies, customer research and insights, and customer use case examples. Partner with Marketing counterparts to identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and drive thoughtful and relevant customer campaigns.

  • Bring new capabilities to market - Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas and launch new capabilities into the market.

In return you will bring:

  • 4+ years of product marketing experience, content marketing, or similar role.

  • Prior experience driving content marketing programs and participating in the development of collateral, videos, sales enablement, and other solutions-oriented content.

  • Marketing experience within SaaS or cloud based technology, security, data analytics, or Managed Services is preferred.

  • Someone that’s innately curious, interested in learning, and is driven to make an impact!

  • Ability to work cross-functionally, while managing multiple projects and stakeholders across the business.

  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with an ability to build strong working relationships across levels, departments, and geographically dispersed office locations.

  • Skilled story-teller who can adjust messaging to meet the needs of each audience from business executives to technical security professionals. 

  • Great writer - someone who enjoys researching a topic and writing compelling content that meets the needs of our customers and audience.

  • Creative problem-solving skills: you understand root causes and act with a sense of urgency and commitment. 

  • Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is – or isn’t – working.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or journalism preferred.
