Want to work on the next cutting edge technology in cyber security? Want to build a product for a brand new market category? Come join our team!

As security gets more complex and the number of technology solutions customers need to interface with continues to grow, one thing has become clear - cyber security operations need automation. In order to continue to stay relevant and effective in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats and attacks companies must start leveraging Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) to bring calm to the chaos.

As Product Manager, on Rapid7’s SOAR team, you will embark on a mission to make SOAR accessible and intuitive so that it can be used by every security team and not just the security elite! This role is an amazing opportunity to become an impactful leader in an exciting, rapidly growing and global technology company.

Though the task at hand is audacious, you will not be alone! We have assembled a world class team of product managers, user experience designers, engineers and security experts to help surround you with incredible talent. However, the team is not complete - you are the missing piece!

Here is a snapshot of the work you'll be doing:

  • Define, track and report on the post-launch success metrics for the deliverables

  • Work with subject-matter experts like security analysts. consultants researchers to understand customer problems

  • Talk to customers to understand their pain points and motivations and translate these into requirements that support the product roadmap

  • Demo the product to customers, partners, customer advisory boards, and other internal groups

Previous experience as a product manager, product engineer or both is highly valued, but if you have strong cybersecurity domain knowledge (having previously worked as a security practitioner, technical account manager, sales engineer, or similar role), experience in the software industry, AND you are well organized, extremely customer driven, and really looking for a challenge as you grow to the next level -- this might be the perfect role for you.

An Insider's view of Rapid7

What does your typical day look like?

For the majority of the day it’s a mix of weekly check-ins with various teams, project updates, and the occasional brainstorm.

When I’m not in meetings I’ve got headphones in while planning, writing, or designing — at my desk or perched somewhere around the office.

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

Ive been on many teams in my time at Rapid7 and they have certainly “grown” from a size perspective, but more importantly, they all evolved with the changing times and needs. Some of the teams I was on were critical for our sales grown in an emerging market and though they no longer exist by name, I can see the tangible impact we made.
