The Opportunity

Rapid7 is looking for an experienced leader to deliver innovative security solutions that will help our clients build and run secure application workloads. With the criticality of applications to security programs, we believe modern Application Security solutions are required for our customers and our platform. Your primary objective will be to drive the strategy, definition, development, and adoption of our Application Security offerings delivered via our platform to drive growth. Rapid7 prides itself on thinking differently and we are seeking someone who can oversee the expansion of this business, but also help influence the company-wide vision of security. The Role

You will lead a team of product managers, UX Designers, product marketeers and content writers delivering value to customers seeking to secure their applications. You will have the opportunity to partner with our customers to help them navigate the adoption of modern development practices and tools into their security program. The solutions your team builds will need to support DevSecOps, CI/CD Pipeline automation, serverless architecture and platforms like public cloud and containers. You will collaborate across multiple teams to align strategy and maximize impact. You’ll work with Rapid7 customers and assess the broader market to identify unmet needs, segments and solutions to help teams securely journey to the cloud and to develop with a cloud-first mindset. Based on these interactions, you’ll prioritize roadmap investments, spearhead the definition and delivery of new and differentiated capabilities, and re-work existing solution offerings to create a unified portfolio.

• Oversee all go-to-customer functions for your products including messaging and positioning, pricing and packaging, content marketing, go-to-market strategy and tactics, and analyst relations. 

• Establish and manage collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, strategic alliance and technology partners, and other executives to support development and adoption of the Rapid7 Application Security portfolio

• Inspire a culture of learning and collaboration to identify new opportunities to innovate and maximize customer outcomes

• Develop business cases to support investments required to drive customer value creation and commercial success

• Lead, mentor and develop a globally distributed team of product managers, product marketers, UX Designers and content writers responsible for Application Security products

• Act as a thought leader in support of prospect and customer interactions

Qualifications and Traits

• 10+ years of experience leading product management and marketing teams to drive successful development, launch and adoption of SaaS solutions

• Experienced people leader who has built, developed and retained high performing teams

• Track record of driving and measuring growth of a multi-product portfolio

• Experience leading and collaborating in cross-functional teams; ability to manage up, down and across the organization to get desired outcomes

• Applications expert with experience with products for users that build and test applications; experience with testing and protection tools such as SCA, SAST, DAST and RASP, a plus

• Deep knowledge and practical experience with DevSecOps principles, securing container based applications and various CI/CD and other orchestration tools 

• Experience with security operations and threat management products and/or services and their real-world application within a security program

• Willingness to travel up to 30%, including international travel (when safe to do so!)

• MBA preferred; experience and knowledge of core business functions and tools required
