Roles and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate product opportunities based on customer value, market attractiveness, technical feasibility, profitability, strategic fit, and Aptiv’s right to win.
  • Analyze market trends, OEM roadmaps, customer needs, regulatory developments, competitive positioning, pricing dynamics, and technology disruptions.
  • Identify growth opportunities and risks, synthesizing complex research into concise insights and actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Build strategic business cases and financial models covering revenue potential, investment requirements, resource trade-offs, pricing considerations, and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop data-backed prioritization frameworks supporting product roadmap, investment, resource allocation, and portfolio decisions.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or a related analytical field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, product strategy, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or another analytical role; relevant internship or project experience will be considered.
  • Strong structured and hypothesis-driven problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems and synthesize clear recommendations.
  • Experience with market sizing, competitive analysis, financial modeling, business cases, or investment prioritization.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, including storylining, slide writing, decision framing, and concise verbal communication, with advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders; familiarity with automotive, ADAS, mobility, semiconductors, software platforms, or adjacent deep-tech industries is preferred.
  • Fluent English communication skills and ability to travel approximately 5–10%, including internationally.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
