TITLE:                                    Product Specialist III

HOURS:                                 Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

DUTIES:                                 Achieve revenue growth and quota targets for the genetic testing product and service portfolio as well as build strong customer relationships across the assigned territory.

                                                Sell our portfolio of molecular testing products for pharmacogenomics, oncology, and infectious diseases (respiratory, gastrointestinal, women’s health, wound care, etc.) to clinical laboratories across the assigned territory.

                                                Leverage consultative selling strategies to meet customer goals and priorities and position our solutions to address their specific needs.

                                                Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan and analyze performance metrics and market intelligence to optimize selling strategies.

                                                Manage and forecast the territory sales funnel and pipeline and analyze performance metrics and market intelligence to optimize selling strategies.

                                                Manage and forecast the territory sales funnel and pipeline using Salesforce and other designated sales tools.

                                                Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams to provide voice-of-customer feedback towards product requirements, competitive landscape, and training needs.

                                                Collaborate and communicate strategic alignment with local district sales teams, channel partners, and internal business partners.

TRAVEL:                                Up to 50% domestic and international travel required. Telecommuting Employee: Reports to company headquarters in Waltham, MA. Can work remotely or telecommute.

REQUIREMENTS:                 Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Biology, Biomolecular Science, Biotechnology, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in consultative sales in molecular testing, life sciences, or related experience. Employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Biology, Biomolecular Science, Biotechnology, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in consultative sales in molecular testing, life sciences, or related experience as an equivalent alternative.

                                                Required knowledge or experience with:

                                               

                                                Real-time PCR (qPCR), Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), and Digital PCR (dPCR) workflows in general laboratory practice and molecular diagnostics;

                                                Solution sell across qPCR, CE, and dPCR technologies and integrating these platforms into clinical laboratory settings;

                                                Selling CLIA-certified laboratories, Reference Labs, and Hospitals, in pharmacogenomics, oncology, and infectious disease testing;

                                                Consultative sales experience, leveraging scientific expertise to algin molecular testing solutions with customer needs;

                                                Territory Management and Forecasting, sales funnel management, pipeline forecasting, and marketing analysis;

                                                Hands-on laboratory selling and customer-facing experience;

                                                Clinical market dynamics, emerging regulatory changes related to the FDA’s Laboratory Developed Test (LDT) rule and evolving MolDx reimbursement policies; and

                                                Salesforce (SFDC), Cognos, and PowerBI for sales performance tracking and business analytics.
