About the Role

The Product Owner, Portfolio Management & Order Management Systems, is accountable for the vision, roadmap, prioritization, and outcomes of the capabilities that support portfolio construction, investment implementation, order management, and execution readiness across the investment lifecycle. These capabilities are enabled through Wellington's Portfolio Management System (PMS) and Order Management System (OMS).

This role sits at the intersection of Investments, Trading, Implementation, Operations, Compliance, Data, and Technology. The Product Owner translates Investment Platform strategy and operating model priorities into a clear roadmap and prioritized backlog, ensuring the firm can efficiently move from portfolio intent to implementation, execution, and downstream operational processing.

The Product Owner is accountable for what is delivered, when it is delivered, and why it matters. This includes ownership of product vision, roadmap priorities, sequencing decisions, capacity allocation, backlog management, and outcome realization. Technology partners are accountable for how solutions are designed, built, supported, and sustained.

Investment Lifecycle Capabilities & Delivery

  • Own the vision, roadmap, and outcomes for capabilities supporting portfolio construction, implementation workflows, order management, trade intent, workflow controls, and execution readiness.

  • Engage regularly with end users and stakeholders to validate priorities, gather feedback, and ensure delivered capabilities create measurable value.

  • Manage dependencies across data, analytics, compliance, risk, execution, and operational platforms to deliver integrated investment workflows.

Stakeholder Management & Adoption

  • Serve as the primary product representative for business stakeholders and technology delivery teams.

  • Build alignment across Investments, Trading, Implementation, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Data, and Technology.
