The kind of person we’re looking for:

We are looking for a bright and collaborative Product Owner to set and execute against our strategic product roadmap for our front end (merchant experience) development team. The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills and a proven track record of collaboration with colleagues across different roles and teams. As a Product Owner, you’ll be working alongside the product, design, and software development teams to create and deliver front end software. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the product development process, providing feedback on mock ups, setting the roadmap and priorities, writing requirements, and following through with the development team to validate the final product.

The kind of stuff you’ll be doing:

  • Provide direction, backlog management, iteration planning and elaboration of user stories for a front-end development team

  • Managing the product backlog and prioritizing the tasks based on changing priorities

  • Align engineering priorities with product strategy to achieve overall business goals

  • Train internal teams on product enhancements and future engineering goals

  • Work with the product team, internal stakeholders, and end-users to deliver updates and status reports on product initiatives

  • Collaborate with Design and Engineering to translate requirements into functional specifications, ensuring a balance between technical and customer-centric priorities

  • Gathering requirements and feedback from a variety of people, including users, product development team members and management team members

  • Participate in sprint planning, daily standup meetings, and other agile development activities

The kind of experience/skills you’ll need:

  • 2+ years of experience

  • Able to proactively manage your workload and tasks independently, demonstrating good judgment in prioritization and time management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface and collaborate with clients, peers, and management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in

  • An eye for excellent visual design with sensitivity to user-system interaction

The extra stuff that would be nice:

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

  • Work experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management

Salary range: $70k-$80k
