The marketing Specialist will serve as a lead in the management of quarterly marketing updates and collaborate to execute MassMutual Investment's marketing strategy based on product, brand, and distribution business objectives. This role is for a team player with skills ranging from project management to campaign development and execution.
The Team
The Investment Marketing team is part of the broader Product Marketing group within MassMutual and is dedicated to supporting the products and services offered through MassMutual Investments. We are a tight-knit team that is supported by the broader marketing organization. This means your individual role will have a big impact on both getting the core marketing completed each quarter as well as helping to develop longer-term messaging and campaigns.
The Impact
Key to success in this role will be establishing strong partnerships across the investments organization and collaborating in the planning and management of core quarterly collateral, such as the fund fact sheets, product presentations, and other re-occurring collateral, as well as working to help develop and execute multi-tier campaigns that will be deployed across multiple distribution channels in the investment space.

The Impact
Key to success in this role will be establishing strong partnerships across the investments organization and collaborating in the planning and management of core quarterly collateral, such as the fund fact sheets, product presentations, and other re-occurring collateral, as well as working to help develop and execute multi-tier campaigns that will be deployed across multiple distribution channels in the investment space.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Manage a process to update and maintain the quarterly re-occurring collateral, such as the fact sheets, fund presentations, and sales brochures
- Leads the creation of new and updating of core collateral and sales ideas
- Reviews content inventory ensuring that active content is current and available
- Competitive monitoring of marketing collateral to ensure parity and differentiation of our materials.
- Strategy and maintenance of Seismic for our wholesalers to better serve advisors and drive AUM in our funds.
- Vendor management of our marketing automation vendor.
- Website maintenance, including updating materials and thought leadership content.
Essential Job Functions
- Participates in product marketing strategy development
- Lead the planning for product updates into product marketing
- Leads project management and execution of the major initiatives, including:
- COE engagement to execute marketing plans and creative executions
- Working with the analytics team to measure the performance of marketing tactics, and optimization plan
- Develop product marketing content by working with product subject matter experts and facilitating creative development
- Take the lead on following and tracking the compliance, legal and regulatory content review process
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Marketing or Branding
- Due to the nature of this position, as a part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience in marketing investment products
- 3+ years of financial services industry marketing experience
- Past experience in managing content communications, marketing, or branding
- Strong attention to detail and the analytical abilities needed to interpret key business objectives into content and campaigns
- Demonstrated experience collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus among multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of regulatory implications of marketing, advertising, and media
- Creative thinker, team player, and positive influencer
- Previous experience with Seismic is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite - PowerPoint, Word, Excel
