Meet the Moment with Alteryx

We’re living through a once-in-a-generation shift in how work gets done—and Alteryx is at the center of it. Our platform puts the power of data and AI directly in the hands of analysts, data teams, and business leaders, enabling them to solve complex problems faster than ever before. As we expand the reach of Alteryx One, we need sharp, user-obsessed marketers who can turn new users into confident, successful practitioners.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager for User Growth will own the end-to-end marketing motion that brings new users into the Alteryx ecosystem and keeps them growing. From first trial to long-term power user, you’ll craft the messaging, programs, and content that make the Alteryx experience undeniably valuable—fast.

What You’ll Do

New User Acquisition & Trial Experience

  • Own the positioning and messaging strategy for trial and new user acquisition, ensuring first impressions of Alteryx are compelling, clear, and outcome-focused.

  • Partner with Demand Generation and Product to shape the trial onboarding experience—from signup through first value—reducing friction and accelerating activation.

  • Develop and maintain messaging frameworks for Ask Alteryx new user onboarding flows, ensuring in-product prompts, tooltips, and guidance content reflect the most effective paths to value.

  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to identify the highest-impact moments in the new user journey and build marketing programs that capitalize on them.

  • Conduct competitive research and user interviews to continuously sharpen trial messaging and positioning against key alternatives in the market.

Growth & Onboarding – Reproducible Skills

  • Design and execute onboarding programs that build reproducible skills and habits in new users, moving them from initial exploration to confident, recurring use of the Alteryx platform.

  • Partner with Education, Product, and Community teams to develop scalable learning paths, guided workflows, and skill-building content that reduce time-to-proficiency.

  • Create and maintain onboarding content assets—including video walkthroughs, quick-start guides, in-product messaging, and use-case libraries—tailored to key user personas and verticals.

  • Define and monitor onboarding success metrics (activation rates, skill milestone completion, early engagement) and use data to iterate and improve the user journey.

  • Develop a framework for identifying “aha moments” across Alteryx workflows and embed these into onboarding campaigns to drive early habit formation.

Adoption & Expansion – Extending the Alteryx Experience

  • Build and execute expansion marketing programs that move users from core Alteryx workflows into adjacent capabilities—including Ask Alteryx, Auto Insights, App Builder, and cloud-based solutions.

  • Develop persona-specific messaging and content that shows users the natural next step in their Alteryx journey, removing discovery barriers and communicating clear value for expanded usage.

  • Partner with Product Marketing peers, Product Management, and Customer Success to coordinate cross-product adoption campaigns and in-product nudges that guide users toward broader platform engagement.

  • Track feature adoption and engagement data across user cohorts to identify expansion opportunities and prioritize high-impact messaging interventions.

  • Develop case studies, customer stories, and social proof assets that showcase real-world user growth journeys and inspire peers to expand their Alteryx usage.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement

  • Serve as the voice of the user in cross-functional planning sessions, advocating for user-centric design in onboarding flows, product UX, and lifecycle communications.

  • Partner with the Customer Marketing, Community, and Events teams to amplify user growth stories and create opportunities for peer learning and inspiration.

  • Enable internal stakeholders—including Sales, SDRs, and Customer Success—with the messaging, tools, and data needed to support new user activation and expansion conversations.

  • Contribute to regular reporting on user growth KPIs, presenting insights and recommendations to marketing and product leadership.

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of product marketing, lifecycle marketing, or growth marketing experience in a B2B SaaS environment, with a demonstrated focus on user acquisition, onboarding, or adoption.

  • Proven ability to develop messaging and positioning for technical products targeted at analyst, data, or business intelligence personas.

  • Experience designing and executing onboarding programs or in-product marketing initiatives, ideally with measurable impact on activation or adoption metrics.

  • Strong analytical mindset—comfortable working with product analytics tools (e.g., Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel) to identify trends, test hypotheses, and measure campaign effectiveness.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex product capabilities into clear, compelling narratives for a range of audiences.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, Education, and Demand Generation teams.

  • Familiarity with data analytics, automation, or AI platforms is a strong plus; hands-on experience with Alteryx is highly desirable.

  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-moving environments and can manage multiple priorities with a high degree of independence.
