Hi 👋 I’m Rosalia, and I look after our Product Marketing team at Ashby.

I started my career in Product Marketing and helped build the Sales Enablement function at HubSpot during its journey from startup to IPO. Since then, I’ve worked across RevOps and Customer Marketing at Procore and Meta, partnering with incredible teams to bring differentiated products to market. I first heard of Ashby through our Head of Content, Anum with whom I’d spent those early days at HubSpot, and was inspired by the level of thoughtfulness and operating principles I saw and read about. I joined Ashby in April of 2024 back in Product Marketing - bringing all these experiences together to help build a thoughtful, high-impact team.

We’re a growing, tight-knit team - and we’re just getting started 🚀 We work closely with Product, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and every level of leadership, including closely with our CEO Benji. We’re seen as strategic partners, not a service desk. PMM at Ashby means influence, visibility, and ownership - and this role is a chance to get in early on a team with strong internal momentum at a company growing fast.

We value technical curiosity, editorial clarity, and first-principles thinking. We avoid jargon, favor plain English, and aim to genuinely help customers understand what our product does and how it can help them. You don’t need a decade in PMM to succeed here - but you do need strong product instincts, clear writing, and a bias for building systems that scale.

We’re looking for a Release Marketer who is excited about owning product releases.

This role is for someone who thrives on the details but understands the bigger picture – someone who can clearly explain how a new feature or product benefits prospects and customers in their daily workflows and approach to talent acquisition. Someone who wants to work closely with Product and Engineering to understand how a feature works, and act as a translator for the front-line teams. That means translating product specs into the materials, messaging, and demos that power our releases. This person should feel excited about selling with value and obsess over customer use cases and how we tell our product story. From crafting one-pagers and recording crisp, clear product videos and walkthroughs, to running our product updates newsletter, to building internal enablement that keeps our whole team informed on what’s changed, you’ll help us tell our differentiated story and keep our launch velocity high.

You’ll work across multiple product lines, so you’ll need to context switch easily. Organization, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle and coordinate across multiple teams are among the most important skills for this role. On any given week, you’ll be keeping several releases moving, each with its own Product Manager.

Because we’ve built deep relationships with a thoughtful, engaged customer base, we’re often co-creating with them - sharing product materials that are actually read, used, and appreciated by people who see us as partners, not just vendors.

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys being in the weeds of technical products, but also has a sharp editorial voice, a strong eye for design, strong product instincts, and loves to always be shipping.

While this role will flex across multiple products, you’ll have the opportunity to grow into eventually owning a full product line. This role is also a great opportunity for someone who wants to flex across PMM and enablement skills, and work on product marketing initiatives that create more leverage for our teams.

Your Background

There is not a single background that is the perfect fit for this role. We care more about the skills and intrinsic capabilities you bring to the table, and could see someone from a number of different backgrounds being a good fit, including:

  • A Solutions Engineer who loves narrative and wants to shape more than just demos

  • An Early-stage AE who worked closely with Product

  • A Product-minded builder with a technical background and customer empathy

  • A GTM specialist with a strong lean for product taste

What You’ll Do

Release Products and Features

  • Own go-to-market planning and execution for feature releases across multiple product lines.

  • Work closely with Product Managers to shape value propositions, messaging, and demo strategies.

  • Produce polished feature videos for use across social media, the website, and other marketing channels.

  • Create assets including blog posts, one-pagers, demo videos, internal launch docs, and enablement materials.

  • Turn features into clear customer value through videos, product walkthroughs, and content that make the benefit obvious.

  • Partner with other product marketers on larger and bundled launches where support is needed.

Keep the release engine moving and create leverage for your team

  • Serve as a product expert and go-to resource for how features work and how we position to the market.

  • Coordinate release promotion with Solutions Engineering, RevOps, Sales, CS & Support teams to ensure audiences across the organization are best-equipped through their channels.

  • Own initiatives that keep the whole team informed on product changes, including our product updates newsletter to customers.

  • Help maintain our product launch velocity by leveraging AI, automation, and building scalable systems to manage a high volume of releases, giving yourself time back for more high-leverage work.

You Might Be a Fit If You

  • You’re highly organized, and can keep multiple releases, owners, and deadlines moving at once without anything slipping.

  • You’ve got an exceptional eye for detail - people consistently trust you as the final eye on something because you catch more than just typos every time.

  • You can switch between products and contexts easily, and pick up a new feature quickly enough to explain it well.

  • You’re the person people ping and say, “Can you just explain this feature in normal words?” and you actually can.

  • You know how to shape a good demo or walkthrough that tells a story. Not just “click here, then here” but “here’s how this solves your problem.”

  • You are comfortable owning your own copy and collaborating with design teams to produce well-polished assets.

  • You can read a launch plan and immediately hear the voices of Sales and CS in your head “but what about XYZ?”, and you’ve already worked with technical and product teams for the answer.

  • You can follow a playbook but are not afraid to go back to first principles thinking and build something from scratch without much direction.

You Might Not Be a Fit If:

  • You’re drained by the strive for perfection. If a letter is out of place or a font is off by a size point, it won’t bother you.

  • You’re not a natural relationship builder and don’t feel comfortable working across Product and GTM folks.

  • You aren’t the person people go to when they’re trying to understand the complexities of a new product.

  • You find stakeholder and project management more draining than satisfying.

  • You’d rather not weigh in on or be the final call on creative because someone else will catch it (noting you will have design support, but that someone to catch it is you :)

Interview Plan:

  • 30 min with Michelle (Recruiting)

  • 45 min Rosalia (Hiring Manager)

  • 30 min with Harriet (VP of Marketing)

  • Assignment

  • 30 min with Benji (CEO and Co-founder)

  • Final Round Interview (1-1.5 hours)

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity.

  • 10-year stock option exercise window. You shouldn’t feel pressure to purchase stock options if you leave Ashby —do it when you feel financially comfortable.

  • Unlimited PTO with a strong culture of actually taking time off.

  • 12 weeks of fully paid family leave (US).

  • Generous budget for equipment, software, and office setup. Get what you need to be happy and productive!

  • $100/month learning budget, with conferences covered with manager approval.

  • Top-tier health insurance for US employees (100% premium covered).

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
