PreVeil is a fast-growing tech company transforming secure communication and compliance for the modern enterprise. Our encrypted email and file sharing platform makes end-to-end encryption easy to use, and has been named PC Magazine's Best Encrypted Email and File Sharing Solution five years running.
Trusted by more than 3,000 defense contractors, PreVeil has become the gold standard for protecting sensitive information and achieving compliance efficiently. We're profitable, growing 100% year-over-year, and building for the long term.
PreVeil is hiring a Product Marketing Manager with a focus on Customer & Lifecycle Marketing to own how we communicate with customers and to turn customers’ own stories into proof that wins the next deal.
Onboarding emails, newsletters, webinars, support documentation, case studies, and reviews all exist in some form, but are spread across the team and company. You will consolidate those functions and build the customer-facing side of marketing.
It is a deeply technical job. Our customers are IT leaders, compliance officers, and founders at defense contractors, and they will call us out if the content isn’t perfectly precise and accurate. You need to be able to read our documentation, sit in a conversation about encryption or CMMC scoping, and write about it accurately.
It is also an inherently cross-functional role; You'll work hand in hand with Customer Success and Support, who will be your best source of customer knowledge. This is a hands-on IC role reporting to the VP of Marketing, with a team of top-tier marketers behind you.
What You'll OwnProduct Knowledge and Technical Content: You will start by partnering with our Support team to audit, re-write and rebuild our customer knowledgebase to make it more accessible to both customers and our in-house AI bots. It offers real value and is also the fastest way to learn our product deeply.
Customer Lifecycle Communications: Automated welcome and onboarding emails, the customer newsletter, and customer webinars. You will own the strategy, calendar, and the results.
Customer Evidence and Advocacy: Produce case studies, customer one-pagers, our AE-Customer reference program, G2 & Capterra reviews, and light customer marketing including gifting
Feed the Customer Voice Back Into Marketing: The customer relationship is the best research asset in the company, and we can do a better job pairing our website and product narrative with real customer evidence.
Build the AI Workflows Behind the Program: You will start from a foundation we have already built, including our AI Context Lake, but will need to build further including things like drafting and maintaining knowledgebase articles, mining SDR, AE, CSM calls for new use cases and the language customers actually use, monitoring competitors continuously. We are looking for someone who will build the next ten of these.
What Success Looks Like at 6 Months- The knowledgebase is rebuilt, accurate, and maintained, enabling an increase in AI deflection rates
- New onboarding experience is launched, A/B tested, and tracked to ensure it’s improving activation
- The newsletter and webinar program run on a reliable calendar with improving engagement
- Sales can get a relevant reference customer for any industry we serve
- A steady stream of new G2 and Capterra reviews
- You have built AI workflows that enable you to cover more ground than 1 person would typically be able to
Boston-based or able to collaborate in person at least 1 day per week.
Experience- 3-5 years in product marketing, customer marketing, or related technical role at a B2B SaaS company
- Experience running customer programs such as references, reviews, advocacy, or lifecycle email
- Technical background. You can hold your own on encryption and compliance scoping, and write about it without an engineer rewriting your draft.
- AI is a production tool for you, not something you send occasional prompts.
- Intellectually curious. You want to understand how the product works and why a customer chose us
- An effective communicator. You write clearly, you edit ruthlessly, and you can hold a technical conversation with a customer without translating everything into marketing language
- Detail-oriented. Our customers are audited on what we tell them
- Good human. You build trust quickly across CS, Support, Marketing, Sales, and with customers
- Gritty and self-sufficient. You will have support, but you will own your programs and set your own pace
- Category authority in a high-urgency market. CMMC compliance is non-negotiable for 100,000 defense contractors, and PreVeil is the leading solution for SMBs
- Real ownership from day one. This is a function you get to build, not inherit. The programs you design are the ones we run
- Customers worth talking to. Our customers protect things that matter, and they have the stories to prove it
- Profitable company, strong growth. We are investing in building something great with top-tier marketers
PreVeil offers competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to make a real impact on cybersecurity and defense compliance.
We are proud to foster a workplace free from discrimination. We strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and background will lead to a better environment for our employees and a better product for our users.
