About Lemon.io

Lemon.io is a profitable, growing talent marketplace that connects vetted senior engineers with companies that need them. We've been in business for 10 years, have 60 people across Ukraine, Europe, Canada, and the US, and process over $16M in annual GMV.

We're transitioning from a services-driven marketplace to a technology-driven platform. The product roadmap is wide open. We know what the bottlenecks are, but we are yet to figure out how to solve them. You won't be maintaining an engine, you'll be helping build one.

The Role

We're looking for a PM who operates at the intersection of data, product instincts, and engineering velocity. You'll own product areas end-to-end, from discovery through delivery, collaborating closely with a distributed, async-first engineering team. You will work across our core products: Talent portal and internal CRM.

The scope for this role is based on working with several language models & third-party services. You have to be AI-savvy and have solid third-party services experience. Ideally, you would also have hands-on coding experience.

This is not a coordination role. We want someone who digs into the problem, challenges assumptions, and ships things that move business metrics.
Now let's elaborate :)

What You'll Do

  • Own product areas from conception to delivery: define success before writing a single spec
  • Drive discovery: user interviews, data analysis, competitive research, hypothesis validation
  • Work with AI agents to automate and improve product workflows: hands-on, not just directional
  • Prioritize ruthlessly. Decide what to build, what to skip, and what to kill
  • Provide enough context for engineers to make smart decisions: no hand-holding, no over-speccing
  • Run grooming, planning, and design reviews; lead demos and release notes
  • Collaborate with Product Designer and Engineering to ship fast and iterate constantly
  • Track and own the business metrics that your product area affects.

Who You Are

  • Product-minded and business-first - you connect every feature to a measurable outcome
  • Obsessed with simplicity. Complexity is a cost, not a feature
  • Proactive: you don't wait for perfect specs to start building things
  • Comfortable in async, distributed environments - clear written communication is your superpower
  • You can hold a technical conversation with engineers without faking it
  • Previous experience building AI agents - either commercial or as a pet project.

Experience

Must have

  • 3+ years of product management experience
  • Hands-on experience building with AI agents - independently or with an engineering team
  • Proven track record of product decisions that directly impacted business metrics (revenue, retention, conversion, activation)
  • Experience working in and with distributed, remote engineering teams
  • Solid English - you'll work across international stakeholders regularly

Nice to have

  • B2B SaaS or marketplace product experience
  • Experience with recruitment, HR tech, or developer-facing products - extra bonus

Why Lemon.io

  • Profitable and bootstrapped. No fundraising pressure, real business fundamentals
  • A pivotal moment: we're building the product, not maintaining it
  • Small team, high ownership. Your work is visible and your decisions ship
  • eNPS of 63. People here care and stay
  • Direct access to founders and leadership - no layers.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary in USD
  • Full remote with flexible working hours
  • 28 working days of vacation per year
  • 7 days of sick leave
  • Annual reimbursements: health, self-development, travel, home office, mental wellness
  • Startup culture with open communication

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
