We're hiring a Staff Product Manager to join our Product Development team. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you’ll lead mission-critical initiatives across both new and existing products. You’ll own the roadmap, run independent discovery efforts, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with design, engineering, and leadership to deliver scalable product outcomes.
This is a high-ownership, high-autonomy role ideal for a product leader who thrives in ambiguity, builds clarity for others, and operates with urgency. You’ll be expected to think strategically, execute tactically, and help mentor the next generation of PMs at Thalamus.
What You Will Achieve
Independently run discovery and design sprints (e.g., without Director present) to validate opportunities and define product direction
Drive 0→1 product development: plan 6+ months out, deliver MVPs, and scale adoption
For existing products, lead strategic planning 12 months out: 6 months in high fidelity, 6 months directional
Mentor and coach junior PMs to elevate team capabilities and product thinking
Collaborate with Engineering and Design to execute against roadmap priorities
Present product strategy, tradeoffs, and rationale to C-level stakeholders — and incorporate their feedback
Champion quantitative product thinking: drive adoption of product analytics to inform decisions and measure impact
- Align product initiatives with business priorities, customer needs, and go-to-market readiness
You Should Have
Proven success taking products from 0→1, including identifying user problems, defining MVPs, and launching
Experience planning product roadmaps 6–12 months out with both strategic and tactical depth
Strong product sense and ability to make thoughtful trade-offs across UX, engineering, and business impact
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and run discovery or design sprints independently
Comfortable engaging with executive stakeholders and handling tough feedback with clarity and confidence
Familiarity with product analytics and using quantitative insights to guide decisions
Experience mentoring other product managers or leveling up peers
Exceptional communication and expectation management — proactive, organized, and clear
A bias for action and the confidence to challenge ideas, push for clarity, and advocate for what’s right for the user and business
Bonus
Deep customer empathy in the healthcare space or related regulated industries
