Passionate about precision medicine and advancing the healthcare industry?
Recent advancements in underlying technology have finally made it possible for AI to impact clinical care in a meaningful way. Tempus' proprietary platform connects an entire ecosystem of real-world evidence to deliver real-time, actionable insights to physicians, providing critical information about the right treatments for the right patients, at the right time.
What You’ll Do:
On the Lens team at Tempus, we’re building a computational platform to make it easier for researchers both inside and outside of Tempus to answer important questions in precision medicine using Tempus’ multi-modal clinical, molecular, and imaging data. Lens integrates our real-world data and advanced algorithms into a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service platform, turning hypothesis generation and testing into a closed-loop process that a single researcher can do in minutes, instead of an open-ended process that a research team works on for months or years.
We are seeking a highly motivated and capable Product Manager for the Lens platform. As a key member of the Lens Product team, you will be responsible for defining and delivering innovative solutions that empower researchers and life sciences professionals to extract meaningful insights from Tempus' multimodal data. Top candidates will also have experience working with cloud infrastructure, data, and/or machine learning.
What You'll Do:
- Immerse yourself in the tough problems we’re solving, and collaborate with scientists, engineers, and designers to develop elegant software solutions
- Own the product roadmap for a segment of Tempus’ Lens platform. Partner with Product Managers and GMs to accomplish quarterly and sub-quarterly objectives
- Serve as the direct line of communication with users of your products to maintain an evolving backlog of future enhancements
- Define and analyze metrics to assess product health, measure new releases' impact, and identify improvement areas.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring a balance between short-term deliverables and long-term strategic initiatives
- Manage stakeholder communication and expectations around roadmap and delivery timelines for your products
- Conduct deep product analysis and use the data to guide the short- and long-term roadmap for the team
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of technical experience in building software in the tech or biotech industry preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including acting as a translator among diverse teams of biologists, medical professionals, engineers, operators, and data scientists.
- Experience working with agile software development teams
- A history of building and using product analytics to drive decisions using tools such as SQL, Python, Looker, or Plotly
- Experience with software development and project management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.)
- Ability and interest to quickly ramp up on new concepts in the fields of genomics, oncology, and AI.
