Overview:

Trimble is seeking a passionate and driven Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of our growing Marketplace program. Similar to successful platforms like the Procore Marketplace, Autodesk Marketplace, Intuit Marketplace, Salesforce Marketplace, and others, the Trimble Marketplace will serve as a central hub for discovering, promoting, and selling integrations and extensions that enhance the core Trimble product experience. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of our platform by empowering third-party sellers and creating a thriving ecosystem for buyers. You will own the product roadmap, prioritize features, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a best-in-class marketplace experience.

About the Role:

As the Product Manager for our Marketplace Program, you will be responsible for the entire program lifecycle, from ideation and strategy to launch and iteration. You will be the voice of the customer (both buyers and sellers) and will use data-driven insights to identify opportunities and solve problems. You will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and legal teams to bring your vision to life.

Responsibilities include:

  • Define and own the vision and strategy for the Trimble Marketplace Program, aligning with overall company objectives

  • Define the requirements for the Marketplace Platform 

  • Define and execute the end to end user engagement model, including the application process, legal and security reviews, sandbox deployment, app review and certification process, etc. 

  • Perform a strategic build vs. buy analysis for the Marketplace Platform 

  • Lead the software implementation or the internal product development of the Marketplace Platform 

  • Engage with Trimble, the Trimble user base, developers, and partners to understand their needs and ensure the Marketplace delivers exceptional value.

  • Write clear and concise product requirements documents (PRDs) and user stories, collaborating with engineering to ensure proper understanding and execution.

  • Communicate the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders, gathering feedback and ensuring alignment.

  • Monitor marketplace performance, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions to optimize the user experience and drive growth.

  • Foster a thriving community of partners, developers and users around the Trimble Marketplace.

Required Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree; MBA preferred 

  • 5-8 years of previous experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing, preferably with a focus on e-commerce or marketplaces. 

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling marketplace products.

  • Experience in end-to-end product lifecycle management, from concept to launch and iteration.

  • Proficiency in defining product roadmaps, prioritizing features, and creating user stories.

  • Ability to gather and analyze user feedback, translating it into actionable insights for the development team.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions

  • High level of comfort with technology and its development

  • Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills

  • Excellent documentation skills along with in-depth knowledge of product strategy 

  • Experience creating detailed reports and presentations to senior executives and key stakeholders

  • Previous experience in collaborating with sales and marketing teams to develop effective product messaging and go-to-market strategies.

  • A track record of successfully making and keeping commitments

This position will support the development and rollout of the Trimble Marketplace which, per the business case, has the potential to earn $100M in revenue by 2029

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
