Product Director – SaaS Platform and Micro-Services
October 2025

We are looking for a talented and experienced product manager with a passion for SaaS B2B solutions that enable Customers through modern, multi-tenant microservices architecture and a track record of building winning software products that help firms manage compliance risks.  The successful candidate will help us build the next generation of architecture and shared micro-services to support the next generation of Employee and Firm compliance SaaS products.  As a Product Manager at our company, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and to make a real difference in the way that companies manage compliance.

The Role
There are four core aspects to the Product Management role:

. Developing a deep understanding of the Star product suite, the market dynamics, the needs of the internal Customer & desired outcomes as they upgrade products to the StarCompliance Enterprise architecture
. Turning that understanding into a highly supportive model of upgrade enablement, shared micro-services and common design principles that will enable and accelerate both upgraded and new products
. Working hand in hand with the engineering teams to drive delivery
. Ensuring cross product and cross team collaboration for seamless delivery

At Star, Product Managers are responsible for the overall commercial success of their products within their markets. We don’t stop at building great products – we also work closely with our sales and marketing colleagues to make sure that we can sell great products, and with our services teams to make sure that our products can be implemented and supported effectively. Our goal is to build, sell and support great products.

We want to be the #1 go-to technology partner for Employee and Firm Compliance solutions in the world, and our mission is to make compliance simple and easy for organizations of all sizes; allowing compliance teams to scale through automation and to reduce the burden of compliance on their firms.

As a Product Manager, you own all of the “what” questions – what problems should we be solving for our customers, what do we need to do to win in our markets, what is the specific value proposition, what are the critical features that will meet the needs of our customers and increase their success. In the platform role, this means intimately understanding the needs of your primary Customer – the product managers building upgraded and new products on the micro-services architecture.  You will be responsible for advancing the product strategy, owning the roadmap and backlog, ensuring the most performant, resilient and comprehensive foundation for rapid product development.

The Product Manager will work with the rest of the Product team members across multiple geographies and time zones. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, the Product Manager will liaise with stakeholders, collaborate with our customer base and inspire cross-functional teams to execute on their responsibilities.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
