As a Product Manager on the DQS team, you will be empowered to manage key relationships between the business stakeholders and IT and deliver on business opportunities and outcomes. The product manager will:
- Drive the creation of one or more product strategies, aligning them with a long-term roadmap and prioritizing features and capabilities based on business needs, IT architecture, and deployment plans.
- Actively oversee and enhance the end-to-end customer and business experience related to the product, engaging stakeholders to ensure successful releases.
- Collaborate with peers across R&D DD&T to continuously improve service processes, optimize applications, and elevate user experiences.
- Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring delivery of strategic business outcomes through agile lifecycle management-from prototyping and development to optimization, renewal, and eventual product retirement.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain a clear product vision, strategy, and global roadmap aligned with business capabilities and stakeholder needs.
- Engage with business and IT stakeholders to shape current plans and future opportunities, building a pipeline of impactful product releases.
- Influence and align key stakeholders across business and technology to communicate and execute the product vision.
- Apply broad IT knowledge and consult with experts to define, prototype, and enhance products, incorporating both new and established technologies.
- Lead product development using strong interpersonal, negotiation, and persuasion skills to align on approach and implementation.
- Manage the full product lifecycle, translating pipeline ideas into agile projects and collaborating with development teams to deliver new functionality, simplify products, and increase transparency.
- Prioritize the product backlog to ensure agile teams remain focused and unblocked.
- Conduct research to uncover both explicit and latent product needs, considering user personas, problem sets, and solution spaces.
- Monitor product portfolios and business composition, using data insights to refine roadmaps and optimize delivery plans.
- Ensure sustainability and quality of the end-to-end customer experience.
- Estimate workload and timelines,and continuously prioritize workflows to maximize value delivery.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and successes across project teams, IT, and business units.
- Oversee product budgets in collaboration with stakeholders, balancing resources and adjusting vision as needed.
- Lead SaaS product selection processes, including RFI/RFP management, licensing, and contract negotiations.
- Provide expert input on budgeting and reporting within the product domain.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices, sharing insights with the team to foster continuous improvement.

Education & Competencies (Technical and Behavioral):
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline, computer science or business administration is preferred.
- 8 years or more of relevant professional experience in research of development business lines, Product Management, IT service delivery or related area.
- Professional in-depth knowledge of product management in pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in stakeholder relationship management. Influential in orchestrating key stakeholders and product teams to turn product vision into reality.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.
- Extensive experience in design or in implementing solutions or products and preferable experienced in quality improvement.
- Understand design thinking and can explain and convince stakeholders.
- Work with virtual/agile teams in different locations, aligning and adapting different work, culture and communication styles.
- Familiarity working in a lean and agile software delivery team is preferred.
- Is an accomplished practitioner of design thinking, with a proven track record of developing and exploiting deep customer insights.
- Preferred to have GxP knowledge and experience in the validation of regulated applications, managing and maintaining of CSV deliverables.
- Knowledge of R&D business solutions preferable in any of the following business areas: Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, Pharmacovigilance, Medical.
- Experience with the design and development of pharmaceutical life science products.
- Able to think counterproductive, out of the box and is able to convince stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience of authoring User Stories, experience with dev-ops tool set such as JIRA & Confluence as well as Product Management.
