Responsibilities

About the role

If you're driven to get results and would like to collaborate within a growing and fast-paced digital marketing team, then GM Financial may be the right place for you. The Product Manager I is responsible for helping drive innovation and continuous improvement within the GM Financial B2C/B2B channels. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, this role helps execute key features that create customer experiences that exceed expectations and meet business objectives. This role partners closely with developers, UX designers, marketers, analytics teams, and operations leaders while serving as an advocate for putting the customer at the center of everything we do.

In this role you will:

  • Understand the vision, strategic priorities, and goals of the organization and translate them into a roadmap of features and enhancements

  • Lead backlog prioritization of initiatives and align experiences across channels for optimal business results

  • Perform data analysis on key product metrics to identify customer behavior and improvement opportunities

  • Build and manage communications and relationships with stakeholders contributing to B2C/B2B strategies

  • Prepare product documentation and provide product knowledge and technical expertise to stakeholders

  • Influence highlevel prioritization of initiatives to ensure the best business outcomes

  • Participate in planning for the future direction of B2C/B2B channels and features

  • Influence indirect team members responsible for implementing the product roadmap

Qualifications

What makes you an ideal candidate? 

  • Understanding of basic product management, product lifecycle, roadmapping, and agile methodologies
  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams and leading small groups toward common goals
  • Ability to gather, interpret, and analyze data to generate business insights
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and crosscollaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt to change, multitask, and remain focused on business outcomes
  • Ability to understand complex issues and communicate summaries at a high level
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Experience

  • 0–2 years as a Product Owner/Manager or similar role, preferably on an Agile Scrum team (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (required)


  • Experience in Workfront and/or Azure Dev Ops preferred
