A day in the life (Responsibilities)

As a Product Manager, you will collaborate and lead with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams dedicated to solving mission-critical technology challenges for restaurants and their employees as paid through Toast. You will deliver customer value by ensuring restaurants and their employees are paid safely and securely, while also working on innovative new projects around pay and benefits. You will lead engagements with external business partners, technology teams, and integration teams, as well as get your own hands dirty in the operations behind Toast Payroll. In this role, you will drive the roadmap and delivery of strategic features, integration, and platform offerings that unlock both near-term and long-term business value.   

  • Drive a near-term roadmap of features to support the restaurant and employee experience around pay and benefits. Accurately and consistently updating internal and external stakeholders on the progress of initiatives on the roadmap. 
  • Actively manage your teams’ backlogs through the creation, prioritization, and refinement of user stories in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Be comfortable with customer outreach and speaking with customers often to gather their feedback and scope product opportunities.
  • Partner closely with go-to-market teams, including Solutions, Sales, Product & Customer Marketing, and others in the service of your strategic vision. 
What you'll need to thrive (Requirements)
  • Experience with fintech products in the realm of instant funds access, payments, and BaaS providers
  • Experience driving cross-team initiatives and building interpersonal relationships with a range of personalities 
  • Strong program management and communication skills; detail-oriented and will take a bias towards action 
  • 2+ years of product management experience 

Special Sauce:

  • A basic understanding of the US Healthcare and Benefits space, including ACA, Safe 2.0, etc
  • Experiences in Payments and BaaS
  • Experience leading through influence and advocacy  
  • Knowledge of the restaurant and hospitality industry

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible), benefits, and equity (if eligible).

Pay Range
$107,000$171,000 USD
