About the Opportunity

As Product Manager, Data Analytics Platform, you are a strategic and detail-oriented product leader who translates complex business questions into clear analytical requirements and scalable solutions. You bring deep experience building and managing analytics products, data structures, and self-service capabilities that empower business users, analysts, and data teams to explore data, generate insights, and make informed decisions. You maintain a high bar for documentation, data quality, and measurement standards so insights are trusted, actionable, and consistently applied.

In this role, you will lead the product vision, prioritization, and execution for the BigFuture analytics platform, datasets, and reporting capabilities that enable insight generation, performance measurement, and strategic decision-making across multiple stakeholders. You drive alignment on analytics priorities and roadmaps, balancing near-term insight delivery with long-term platform investments. Working cross-functionally with Analytics, Legal, Data Engineering, and Product teams, you ensure data is accessible, reliable, secure, and responsibly used. You lead with clarity and accountability, enabling teams to fully leverage data while understanding both the power and limitations of analytics.

In this role, you will:

Planning & Roadmap Development (50%)

  • Assist with crafting compelling strategy briefs, business cases, and product roadmaps to justify investments in analytics platforms, data products, and insight capabilities aligned with BigFuture’s divisional goals.

  • Lead the full analytics product lifecycle—from ideation and development of new datasets, dashboards, and analytical tools to enhancements and responsible sunsetting of legacy reports and pipelines.

  • Identify and validate stakeholder needs and analytical opportunities through data exploration, user research, and usage analytics; ensure business and analyst needs are integrated into solution design.

  • Partner with business stakeholders, data analysts, and data scientists to translate key questions into analytics requirements, metrics definitions, and success criteria.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine the analytics roadmap in response to evolving business priorities, data maturity, and platform capabilities.

  • Clearly communicate analytics product strategy, roadmap, and insights across teams to drive alignment and informed decision-making.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support analytics launches through training, enablement materials, documentation, and adoption strategies.

  • Maintain strong domain knowledge while serving as a subject matter expert on BigFuture’s analytics capabilities, data assets, and measurement strategy.

Execution & Delivery (50%)

  • Break down analytics initiatives into clear user stories and requirements—such as datasets, metrics, dashboards, and self-service tools—with well-defined acceptance criteria.

  • Partner closely with data engineering and technology teams to design and deliver scalable analytics solutions, including ETL pipelines, data models, and semantic layers.

  • Support and enable business analysts and data analysts by ensuring analytics tools, datasets, and documentation meet their needs for efficient insight generation.

  • Maintain a prioritized backlog of analytics work, balancing business value, technical complexity, data quality, and strategic objectives.

  • Drive delivery through active participation in Agile ceremonies—refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives—fostering continuous improvement and alignment.

  • Monitor analytics initiatives to identify risks related to data quality, performance, or adoption, and proactively resolve blockers.

  • Coordinate complex technical, legal, and data dependencies across teams to ensure reliable and compliant analytics delivery.

  • Continuously evaluate analytics product performance through usage data, feedback, and outcome metrics to ensure insights drive measurable impact.

About You

To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with a strong focus on analytics, data products, or insight platforms

  • Hands-on familiarity with analytics technologies and workflows, including SQL, Python, BI tools, and modern data platforms

  • Experience working with ETL processes, data pipelines, and data models to support analytics and reporting use cases

  • A strong understanding of metrics design, data quality, and governance, with the ability to partner effectively with data engineers, analysts, and legal teams

  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring insights are accurate, well-defined, and trusted by stakeholders

  • Experience in K-12, Higher Ed, or educational technology is a strong plus, but not required

  • A proactive, ownership-first mindset; you take initiative, solve problems, and drive outcomes with accountability

  • Hands-on experience working in an Agile product development environment with cross-functional teams

  • A customer- and stakeholder-centric approach, with strong learning agility and adaptability

  • Strong analytical skills, combining quantitative analysis with qualitative insight to define problems and craft effective solutions

  • A proven track record of building trusted, productive relationships with business, analytics, and technology partners

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain analytical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

  • The ability to travel 5–6 times a year to College Board offices or on behalf of College Board business

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, with a willingness to experiment with and adopt new AI-driven solutions and comfort learning and applying new digital tools independently and proactively.

  • Clear and concise communication skills, written and verbal

  • A learner's mindset and a commitment to growth: welcoming diverse perspectives, giving and receiving timely, respectful feedback, and continuously improving through iterative learning and user input.

  • A drive for impact and excellence: solving complex problems, making data-informed decisions, prioritizing what matters most, and continuously improving through learning, user input, and external benchmarking.
