We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Engineer. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in defining, designing, and developing best-in-class surgical devices. Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering input during all stages of product development.
- Convert validated product prototype (Prototype Model) to manufacturing ready model (Production Model).
- Create Production Model Design Documentation.
- Assist Product Manager with New Model Development Process.
- Create and execute design of experiments for testing new materials and/or manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, functionality and potential reduction in manufacturing time.
- Develop incremental design improvements based on customer feedback.
- Develop Lexington Medical product knowledge as well as hands-on ability to operate.
- Work independently across functions including with Research & Development and Manufacturing Engineering.
Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
- Medical device design experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience in product development and product lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated theoretical and practical engineering fundamentals.
- Exceptional technical zeal, problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
- Mechanical aptitude to use experimental engineering techniques in the lab.
- Demonstrated motivation, curiosity and creativity.
