About Peerspace
Peerspace is the leading and category-defining online marketplace for venue rentals for meetings, productions, and events. We open doors to the most inspiring spaces around the world, from lofts and mansions to storefronts and studios. Over $500M has been transacted through the platform, and our investors include GV (Google Ventures) and Foundation Capital.
The Role
We are seeking a Product Designer to join our Core Experience (Core XP) team. Our Core XP team focuses on optimizing how guests discover and book the perfect space for their next event or creative pursuit. This full-time role is open to candidates with 2+ years of full-time experience, ranging from early-career to senior levels. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Design, Staff Product Designer, Product Manager, and Engineers to enhance user conversion, usability, and delight across our web and mobile products.
This role is for a designer who takes pride in refinement: shaping both the visible and invisible details that define great product experiences. You’ll work closely with research, prototype in Figma, and use AI tools to accelerate iteration. The focus here isn’t splashy launches; it’s thoughtful, continuous improvement that compounds over time.
What You’ll Work On
* Designing and refining key surfaces that impact conversion, assist decision-making, and streamline our booking and post-booking flows.
* Running usability and growth experiments that help us learn quickly and improve the guest and host experience.
* Partnering with engineering and our Staff Designer to expand our design system, define and build complex components, and improve consistency across our product surfaces.
* Collaborating closely with our Director of Design to turn insights and opportunities into polished, production-ready designs.
* Exploring how AI tools and Figma plug-ins can accelerate ideation and prototyping.
Responsibilities
* Design high-quality, scalable solutions using Figma (we care about component hygiene, auto-layout, and clarity).
* You think in motion and believe that using animation and transitions helps guide user interactions and improve understanding.
* Help maintain and evolve our design system: components, documentation, and accessibility standards with oversight from our Staff Designer.
* Prototype and test ideas with our research team, from concept diagrams to interactive flows. We love to learn why something works or doesn’t.
* You will also be responsible for maintaining a Figma prototype library of our main pages and their key states.
* Collaborate across product, research, and engineering to move from problem definition to shipped experiences.
* Communicate design decisions clearly and provide rationale rooted in user insights and business goals.
* Contribute to critiques, share work early and often, and contribute to the craft of the entire design team.
Qualifications
* Two to five+ years of experience designing consumer or marketplace products. Experience in double-sided marketplaces or the travel domain is a plus.
* Fluent and organized in Figma, including auto-layout, components, variants, and complex prototyping.
* Curious and active in tooling enhancements.
* Demonstrate your experience with a UI motion tool, whether it’s Framer, Principle, ProtoPie, After Effects, or another tool.
* Experience designing for desktop web, mobile web, and native apps (iOS and Android).
* Comfortable designing with user research as part of your process.
* Curious about AI in design: whether that’s assisting with exploration, content generation, or prototyping speed.
* Experience in maintaining a design system.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to present and advocate for design decisions. We are a fully remote company; collaboration is key.
* Bonus: Experience in conversion optimization, growth design, data fluency, or experiment-driven environments.
