About Complete Robot
We are an early-stage, venture-backed company building AI-enabled software and hardware systems for automated physical environments.
The company combines product design, AI, hardware, demos, real-world deployments, and partner-facing storytelling.
About the role:
We are looking for a Product Designer / Demo Storyteller to make a complex technical product easy to understand, memorable, and commercially compelling.
This role sits between product design, demo design, UX, storytelling, investor narrative, customer education, and founder-led sales.
For candidates who can start immediately, there may be an opportunity to join the founding team in San Francisco, stay with the team, and build together from a prestigious San Francisco accelerator environment. This is subject to availability, travel and visa requirements, role fit, and mutual agreement.
Responsibilities:
Design user-facing interfaces for AI-enabled physical products.
Design operator or partner-facing dashboard concepts.
Create demo flows for customers, investors, partners, and events.
Work directly with the founder on product storytelling, pitch materials, demo scripts, visual identity, and sales collateral.
Design UI for screens, web apps, dashboards, and presentation materials.
Turn complex architecture into simple visuals and diagrams.
Create storyboards, demo videos, mockups, clickable prototypes, and launch materials.
Help define the product tone: intelligent, useful, premium, credible, and trustworthy.
Requirements:
Strong product design, UX design, visual design, demo design, or product storytelling experience.
Ability to design clear interfaces for complex systems.
Experience with Figma or equivalent design tools.
Strong visual communication and narrative skills.
Ability to work directly with founders and engineers.
Ability to move quickly from rough idea to polished demo artifact.
English fluency required.
Must Haves:
Experience designing AI products, robotics products, hardware products, kiosks, POS, retail tech, fintech, or IoT dashboards.
Experience creating investor demos, launch videos, pitch decks, event booths, or founder-led sales materials.
Experience with conversational interfaces, voice UX, agentic workflows, or AI tool interfaces.
Experience designing for physical screens, public environments, retail, or self-service machines.
Experience with motion design, video editing, 3D mockups, or product rendering.
Success in the first 90 days:
You create a clear visual and UX language for the product.
You design the first compelling demo flow.
You help create pitch and demo materials that make the company easy to understand.
You improve user-facing and partner-facing interface concepts.
Success in the first 6-12 months:
The company has a memorable product identity and demo system.
Design becomes a commercial advantage in sales, fundraising, and partnerships.
You become the owner of product experience and demo storytelling.
