What You'll Do:

  •  Develop and execute category strategies across investment data, technology, global client and corporate teams in support of business objectives.
  • Lead procurement intake, prioritization, and sourcing execution across assigned categories, including pipeline management, timelines, governance, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Lead complex sourcing initiatives end-to-end, including requirements development, RFx execution, proposal evaluation, negotiation, and supplier selection, while driving savings and commercial value through market analysis and total cost of ownership.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service levels to achieve strong commercial outcomes, appropriate risk mitigation, and clear business value.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and partner with Finance, Legal/Compliance and Technology to structure effective agreements and support efficient, compliant source-to-pay processes.
  • Lead and develop procurement team members through prioritization, coaching, feedback, and clear execution standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes, controls, and systems by leveraging procurement technology, reporting, and automation to improve compliance, cycle time, spend visibility, and PO adoption.

 We're Looking for Teammates With:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus.
  • 8+ years of progressive procurement and/or strategic sourcing experience, including investment data and technology services categories; experience in financial services, investment management, or technology-driven environments preferred.
  • Experience managing procurement professionals and/or leading complex sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract structures, pricing models, and third-party risk considerations.
  • Experience using procurement technology (e.g., P2P, CLM, e-sourcing, ERP platforms), reporting/analytics tools and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
  • Ability to diplomatically influence stakeholders, challenge assumptions thoughtfully, and drive decisions with strong commercial judgment.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, organizational, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

The base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $130,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, and relevant experience. • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
