Overview:

As a Procurement Manager, you will own our supplier network, logistics, and material flow—ensuring we can scale efficiently while controlling cost and maintaining quality. This role blends strategic sourcing with hands-on execution across vendors, inventory, and North American logistics.

You’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and leadership to align sourcing, product requirements, and deployment timelines.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management & Sourcing
    Build and manage vendor relationships; negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms.
    Source hardware components and engineering services aligned with product needs.
    Collaborate with vendors on specifications, quality, and performance.

  • Logistics & Operations
    Own inbound logistics to Boston and outbound shipments across North America.
    Optimize freight, warehousing, and delivery for cost and reliability.
    Manage shipping, documentation, and coordination with logistics partners.

  • Inventory & Shop Management
    Oversee inventory, including spare parts and replenishment.
    Maintain organized, efficient shop and storage operations.

  • Cost & BOM Management
    Manage BOMs and drive cost-down initiatives.
    Partner with engineering on sourcing decisions that balance cost and performance.

  • Cross-Functional Execution
    Work closely with engineering to understand drawings and technical requirements.
    Support product builds, deployments, and operational scaling.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain—preferably in hardware or manufacturing.

  • Experience negotiating with vendors and managing supplier networks.

  • Strong background in North American logistics and shipping operations.

  • Experience with inventory management and BOMs.

  • Ability to read technical drawings and understand hardware systems.

  • Experience in a high growth startup invironment.

  • Technically inclined with a practical understanding of hardware.

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: USD $105,000 – $140,000 (actual pay based on skills, experience, and location).
