The Role:

Private Wealth serves advisors and high net worth investors globally across the Americas, EMEA & APAC. The Private Wealth division focuses on growing alternative investments with advisors across Banks, National Broker Dealers, RIAs and Regional & Independent Broker Dealers, expanding our product set on key platforms and deepening relationships, and growing adoption of alternatives and the Blue Owl brand in the markets we operate.

Blue Owl will be hiring a Regional Market Leader to drive the firm’s Private Wealth capital-raising and ongoing client relationship efforts across our Northeast market. This person will engage in the full lifecycle of client relationship activities, from initial prospecting to onboarding new relationships, and maintaining relationships with current and new clients. The successful candidate will be asked to create awareness, develop relationships, and raise assets across Blue Owl’s full suite of investment products. They will be focusing on the full suite of investors across the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pro-active sales calls, meetings, and sales campaigns to promote Blue Owl product offerings to existing and new private wealth investors.

  • Raise and retain assets under management within a geographic territory by conducting proactive phone calls, and one-on-one and group appointments.

  • Develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy.

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of market, advisor, and investor trends.

  • Work closely with and actively support efforts of other Market Team members.

  • FINRA Series 7, 63 or 66, clean U4.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of total experience.

  • Strong and demonstrated experience raising capital from financial advisors within the largest broker dealers

  • Product experience in alternatives.

  • Knowledge of regulatory environments across the US. Ability to navigate these jurisdictions from a sales and regulatory perspective.

  • Ability to work with a dynamic (i.e. continually growing and evolving) product set.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. This is important from an internal (within Blue Owl) as well as external perspective.

  • Exceptional ability to manage time, priorities, and internal expectations.

  • Exceptional work ethic and a desire to succeed. Blue Owl’s expectation is the candidate will grow in tandem with Blue Owl’s growth as a firm.

  • Ability to travel to clients frequently.

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this Boston-based position will be $200,000 – 225,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
