As a Privacy Senior Consultant on Crowe’s Privacy, Data Protection, and Compliance team, you will work directly with client stakeholders to help design, assess, and operationalize privacy programs that address evolving regulatory requirements and data protection risks. This role focuses on leading and supporting privacy gap assessments, as well as assisting clients with the implementation and optimization of privacy technology platforms that support key privacy program functions, including consumer rights request management, personal data inventories, consent management, and similar regulatory compliance obligations.

What You’ll Do

You will play a critical role in delivering privacy consulting engagements across a range of clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist clients in operationalizing privacy programs by designing and implementing privacy processes, governance models, and technology-enabled solutions. This is not limited to, but includes the development and delivery of privacy policies, procedures, standards, and documentation such as control frameworks, playbooks, checklists, and guidance materials.
  • Support the implementation and configuration of privacy technology platforms for capabilities such as:
    • Consumer rights request management (DSAR automation)
    • Data discovery and personal data inventories
    • Consent collection and preference management, including cookies
    • Privacy third-party risk monitoring and assessments
  • Work with client stakeholders to map data flows, systems, and business processes to identify privacy risks and required controls.
  • Translate regulatory, policy, and framework requirements into practical operational controls, procedures, and technical solutions.
  • Assess privacy programs against applicable regulatory requirements and industry frameworks including but not limited to:
    • GDPR
    • CCPA/CPRA
    • PIPEDA
    • LGPD
    • NIST Privacy Framework
    • ISO 27701
    • Other global privacy and data protection frameworks
  • Contribute to the development of new privacy solutions and methodologies within Crowe’s cyber consulting practice.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to clients, helping to build, enhance, and operationalize privacy programs for new jurisdictions and overall ethical practices.
  • Serve as an extension of client teams to lead or support program execution activities, including issuing privacy assessments, privacy related reporting or metrics, enhancing templates and webforms, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and supervise junior consultants; contribute to team development and internal knowledge sharing.
  • Prepare clear, thorough documentation, reports, and deliverables independently and on schedule.
  • Communicating project scope, procedures, assessment findings/recommendations to both technical and non-technical client stakeholders.
  • Maintaining engagement quality and responsiveness throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring client confidence and satisfaction.

  • Adapt to evolving regulatory requirements, privacy risks and emerging technology considerations.
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning in privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, and technology.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Exhibit entrepreneurial thinking and contribute to the growth of Crowe’s privacy consulting capabilities.
  • Be willing to travel up to 60% as required for client engagements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of total professional experience, including:
    • At least 2 years of hands-on experience delivering privacy gap assessments or privacy technology implementation.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Privacy regulations & key principles (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, etc.)
    • Privacy related frameworks (i.e., NIST Privacy Framework)
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage engagements from planning through reporting with limited oversight.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in documenting observations and explaining results to diverse audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • One or more relevant professional certifications (e.g. CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISSP, CISA, or similar)
  • Certified or implementation experience in a privacy or related platform (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc, etc.)
  • Experience assessing or advising on:
    • Privacy regulations
    • Privacy and data protection programs
  • Experience developing or supporting integrations between technology platforms and enterprise systems, including:
    • Writing scripts
    • Working with APIs
    • Designing and troubleshooting data flows
    • Supporting automation or configuration logic

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $77,600.00 - $153,800.00 per year.
