Job Summary
The Principal Solution Architect (PSA) is a field-based technical pre-sales role that focuses on developing comprehensive Collaboration solutions for CDW customers. This role involves providing consultative guidance, supporting partner product sales, scoping service offerings, and fostering strategic relationships to drive business growth. In this role, you will work with customers, delivery, and internal sales teams to develop and maintain strategic relationships and act as a trusted advisor to grow CDW's Collaboration services business.
What You Will Do
* Develop appropriate assessment and service solutions for CDW customers, including collaboration architecture, platform optimizations, technology health checks, deployment services, adoption services, and advisory services.
* Collaborate with customers, delivery teams, and internal sales to provide consultative guidance, plan sales strategy, and author statements of work (SOWs).
* Analyze technical and competitive considerations, defining actions to meet customer expectations throughout the sales cycle by uncovering customer long-term goals and requirements and crafting collaboration solutions that align to desired business outcomes.
* Maintain strategic relationships with customers, internal sales, and delivery management, acting as a trusted advisor to drive business growth.
* Grow influence in your assigned territory through high levels of engagement with vendors, partners, customers, and sales teams as a collaboration subject matter expert.
* Act as a subject matter expert across multiple collaboration solution areas, contributing to CDW marketing-approved online activities such as LinkedIn content, blog posts, and online publications.
* Drive outreach initiatives, technical enablement projects, coaching, and mentoring for other Solution Architects, Solution Executives, and Field Sellers.
* Mentor and coach solution architects on best practices for engaging with coworkers and customers around collaboration solutions.
What We Expect of You
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a technical, pre-sales, or post-sale delivery role.
* Experience designing and architecting Collaboration solutions tailored to customer needs.
* Familiarity with major collaboration vendors and platforms such as Microsoft Teams (Calling, Meetings, Rooms), Cisco (Webex, UC, Contact Center), Zoom, Avaya, and related ecosystem solutions.
* Exposure to identity, security, networking, and cloud services as they relate to collaboration platforms.
* Motivated, self-starting, and able to independently perform high-quality work with minimal guidance.
* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and influence decision-making.
* Customer-centric mindset with excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Proven ability to design and communicate comprehensive collaboration solutions.
