Position Description:

Drives design, implementation, and governance of end-to-end Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solutions across the organization. Develops and architects enterprise scale Archer GRC solutions that support complex, cross domain business processes. Collaborates with risk, compliance, audit, and legal stakeholders to implement scalable Archer GRC solutions that support efficient risk management, regulatory compliance, and executive reporting.  Owns the technical roadmap, standards, and best practices for Archer configuration, custom objects, workflows, data model, and integrations. Defines and implements data integration patterns using Archer Data Feeds and REST API integrations with upstream and downstream systems. Aligns Archer design with enterprise risk frameworks and internal policies. Creates extensible frameworks for Fields, Reports, iViews, Advanced Workflows, Dashboards, and custom reporting, ensuring consistency and reuse across diverse initiatives. Develops advanced custom objects, UI components, and client-side enhancements using JavaScript and jQuery to extend capabilities beyond native Archer functions. Applies deep technical and business expertise to translate strategic objectives into scalable solution architectures, and identifies opportunities for modernization, optimization, and process reengineering. Evaluates emerging technologies, tools, and architectural patterns to influence long-term engineering practices and technical direction. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participates in architecture design teams.
  • Defines and implements application-level architecture.
  • Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
  • Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
  • Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
  • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
  • Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
  • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
  • Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
  • Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
  • Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
  • Advises senior management on technical strategy.
  • Mentors junior team members.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing modules and solutions in Archer GRC and integrating Archer modules with third party applications. 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing modules and solutions in Archer GRC and integrating Archer modules with third party applications.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) configuring advanced workflows, data driven events, access controls, application notifications, and complex mail merges for individual use cases in Archer; and providing technical management solutions -- issues, policy, authoritative sources, risk, and control testing -- using Archer Modules.  
  • DE creating software features to implement complex workflows for GRC solutions within Archer platform, using access control, advanced workflows, data driven events, end-user reports, custom objects, application notifications, and mail merge. 
  • DE configuring and integrating Archer with internal and external systems (ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Qualys, and database systems), using APIs and JavaScript (JST) data feeds. 
  • DE performing advanced customizations and automation using SQL and scripting and programming language (JavaScript and Python); and participating in sprint planning, daily scrum, and sprint retrospectives using Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.

Salary:  $150,000.00 to $166,000.00/year.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
