Principal Product Marketing Manager - Boston Seaport - Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Reports to: VP of Product Marketing

About Nasuni:

Nasuni is redefining how enterprises store, protect, and unlock the value of unstructured data in the age of AI.

Our unified file data platform brings storage, data services, security, and cloud intelligence together into a single hybrid cloud solution. Built for resiliency, modernization, and AI-readiness, Nasuni eliminates legacy complexity while enabling better data governance, automation, and insight generation.

Backed by Vista Equity Partners, Nasuni sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, enterprise data, and next-generation AI—including agentic AI architectures, orchestration layers, and governance frameworks.

Guided by our leadership principles—Unify to Win, Innovate to Lead, and Level Up to Scale—we are building the foundation for how modern enterprises manage and activate data at global scale.

The Opportunity:

We are hiring a Principal Product Marketing Manager to operate as a strategic force multiplier across the organization.

This is not a task-oriented Senior PMM role.

This is a highly autonomous, executive-facing individual contributor role for a seasoned product marketer who:

  • Thinks at the portfolio and platform level
  • Drives bottom-line impact
  • Influences decisions without formal authority
  • Owns the room with executives, customers, and partners
  • Proactively shapes the product marketing agenda and advocates cross-functionally with other teams

You will act as a right hand to the VP of Product Marketing and partner closely with Product Management, Sales Leadership, Corporate Marketing, Customer Success, and Executive stakeholders.

You will help shape and launch strategic initiatives including AI-driven platform capabilities (e.g. MCP-style architectures, agentic AI, etc), while driving the downstream execution that turns vision into pipeline and revenue.

This role offers high visibility to the C-suite and clear growth paths—whether along a senior IC track or into future people leadership.

What “Principal” Means at Nasuni:

Senior PMM executes well within defined scope.

Principal PMM:

  • Steps back and defines the agenda
  • Identifies whitespace and drives strategic initiatives
  • Influences corporate marketing, campaigns, launches, and sales plays
  • Connects messaging directly to revenue and adoption outcomes
  • Partners at the executive level
  • Drives organizational clarity in moments of ambiguity

You are measured on business impact, not just deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Strategic Product Marketing Initiatives

  • Own end-to-end product marketing strategy for key product domains, especially AI-first platform initiatives
  • Partner with Product Management to shape roadmap positioning and differentiation
  • Identify market whitespace and growth opportunities
  • Translate technical innovation into outcome-driven enterprise value
  • Serve as strategic partner on major launches, including agentic AI and related initiatives

 Command Messaging & Platform Narrative

  • Develop durable, scalable messaging frameworks across platform, solution, and campaign levels
  • Translate complex architecture (AI agents, orchestration layers, cloud file systems, data pipelines, governance models) into compelling business narratives
  • Ensure consistency across Sales, Corporate Marketing, Campaigns, Customer Success, and Events
  • Elevate brand-level and value-level storytelling

 Lead High-Impact Launches

  • Own major enterprise product launches from strategy through execution
  • Partner with Demand Gen, Brand, Campaign, and Sales teams to drive cohesive go-to-market motions
  • Define KPIs and measure pipeline, adoption, and revenue impact
  • Build repeatable launch processes

 Enable Revenue & Field Teams

  • Develop executive-ready pitch decks, ROI calculators, sales plays, and demo narratives
  • Lead win/loss analysis and convert insights into actionable change
  • Equip Sales to have strategic AI-readiness and data modernization conversations
  • Influence enterprise sales motions and value-based selling

 Operate as an Executive-Level Influencer

  • Present to internal leadership and customer executives
  • Influence roadmap, campaign strategy, and cross-functional priorities
  • Drive executive buy-in on strategic initiatives
  • Bring forward insights from the competitive and AI landscape

What Success Looks Like:

Within 12 months, you will:

  • Successfully drive major AI-focused launch initiatives
  • Improve message clarity across Sales and Marketing
  • Influence measurable pipeline growth and adoption
  • Elevate executive confidence in product marketing strategy
  • Create scalable GTM frameworks that extend beyond your direct ownership

Qualifications:

Must-Have Qualifications

These are non-negotiable for success in this role:

  • 10+ years of Product Marketing experience in B2B SaaS (enterprise focus required)
  • Demonstrated ownership of strategic, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-level product launches end-to-end
  • Strong fluency in AI-first platforms, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise data environments
  • Ability to deeply understand technical architecture and translate it into differentiated value narratives
  • Executive presence and comfort influencing senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously with minimal oversight
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles

Preferred Qualifications

These enhance success in the role:

  • Experience marketing AI-enabled, automation-driven, or platform products
  • Familiarity with hyperscalers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP)
  • Experience driving adoption initiatives in partnership with Product Management
  • Background in data platforms, infrastructure software, or cloud services
  • Experience building ROI calculators, sales plays, and structured win/loss programs
  • Prior people management experience (comfortable returning to an IC role)
  • MBA or equivalent strategic business training

Ideal (Differentiating) Qualifications

These would make a candidate exceptional:

  • Experience contributing to AI transformation within a company
  • Exposure to agentic AI architectures, MCP-style frameworks, governance/security models
  • Proven impact on category repositioning or market expansion
  • Track record of influencing C-suite executives
  • Demonstrated growth trajectory into broader strategic leadership

Who Thrives Here:

You are:

  • A self-starter who seeks stretch opportunities
  • Comfortable driving ambiguity into clarity
  • Motivated by impact, not title
  • Energized by AI innovation and platform strategy
  • Confident leading through influence
  • Curious, technically fluent, and commercially sharp

Why This Role Is Compelling:

  • High visibility with executive leadership
  • Strategic ownership of AI-forward initiatives
  • Clear growth trajectory (senior IC or future people leadership)
  • Work at the intersection of data infrastructure and AI innovation
  • Backed by Vista Equity Partners
  • Influence major revenue-driving initiatives
