We are seeking a Principal Product Manager - Appliance Platform to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA office. 

Job Summary

The Principal Product Manager is responsible for Imprivata's Enterprise Access Management Appliance/Server Platform offering and the overall success of that business area, including adoption and growth. This role involves coordinating cross-functional activities related to product development, release, and customer success. It requires technical knowledge of enterprise software, IaaS platforms, customer IT environments, and rapidly evolving security and compliance technologies. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successfully growing both new and existing products.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from strategic planning through delivery, to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Champion customer needs by shaping product vision, developing business cases, and prioritizing features and requirements.
  • Work closely with Engineering to deliver secure, scalable enterprise software solutions.
  • Clearly communicate product strategy to stakeholders, including executives, customers, and partners.
  • Identify and pursue new product opportunities and partnerships to drive ROI and business growth.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Product Ops, and Customer Success to ensure timely product releases.
  • Monitor and report on success metrics, provide roadmap updates, and serve as a product evangelist both internally and externally.
  • Other duties as assigned and required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or in a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise software product management.
  • Experience managing modern hybrid (on prem + cloud) product platforms
  • Experience with AI-driven development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security concepts specific to Linux-based servers and operating systems, including access control, authentication mechanisms, and secure configuration guidelines.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Expertise in deploying applications and VMs across cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed database platforms, virtualization platforms such as ESXi, HyperV, OpenShift/KVM and containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
  • Skilled in architecting and maintaining resilient enterprise solutions, including Disaster Recovery strategies.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based platforms.

This position offers a total compensation range of $180,600.00 to $191,100.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata’s benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata’s compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
