Principal Frontend Software Engineer (Fidelity Labs – Fidelity Private Shares)
The Role

The Principal Frontend Software Engineer at Fidelity Labs is a pivotal role for the continued success and growth of the Fidelity Private Shares. The Fidelity Private Shares team delivers innovative technology, robust industry experience and expertise, and seamless service to the start-up ecosystem through Fidelity Investments.

In this role you will be hands-on in the developing, testing, delivery, and support of the user experience and frontend technology that drives the Fidelity Private Shares platform. You’ll work closely with technical leads and product managers to support our customers and inform the product, as well as researching and developing new growth opportunities to expand on the strengths of the core technology.


The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • Proven experience building, deploying, and Angular web applications
  • Understanding and experience working with source code management, testing, and CI/CD processes and tools such as jest, Github and Jenkins
  • Managing, supporting and empowering associates, to enable delivery of increased value in their teams, including coaching and mentoring team members to help them grow and develop their skills.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to understand complex customer needs and transactions
  • A passion for engineering excellence; a desire to empower and collaborate with your teammates; a willingness to learn; and adaptability to new and changing requirements
  • A sense of ownership utilizing automation and tests to make sure code is robust as possible
  • Ability and desire to learn and experiment with new technologies and patterns

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $107,000-216,000 USD per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
