What You’ll Do:

As Principal, Energy Strategy, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement and management of energy resources for CoreWeave’s data centers. You will work closely with the Infrastructure Cloud Services team and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective energy solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of energy markets, procurement strategies, and renewable energy options. You will be expected to analyze energy data, manage vendor relationships, and contribute to the development of CoreWeave’s energy strategy, supporting the company's position as a leading AI Hyperscaler.

About the role:
  • Energy Procurement & Strategy Support: Assist in developing and executing strategies for acquiring energy, including renewable energy, for CoreWeave’s data centers. Stay informed on energy market trends and regulations to inform procurement decisions.
  • Vendor Management: Support the management of relationships with energy suppliers, utilities, and other related vendors.
  • Market Analysis & Data Management: Collect and analyze energy market data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as data center operations, finance, and legal to ensure alignment on energy procurement initiatives.
  • Project Support: Participate in special projects related to energy infrastructure and sustainability initiatives.
Who You Are:
  • 5+ years of experience in energy procurement, energy management, or a related field, preferably within the data center or cloud industry.
  • Familiarity with energy markets, utility tariffs, and power purchase agreements (PPAs).
  • Experience with renewable energy procurement and sustainability initiatives is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

The base pay and target total cash for this position range from $180,000 to $264,000 accordingly. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position includes a discretionary bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Our Workplace

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
