Principal Electrical Systems Engineer - Advanced Development

OVERVIEW

  • We are looking for a visionary engineer and systems thinker to lead the development of breakthrough technologies and architectures that will shape the next generation of products.
  • This is a hands-on, early-stage development role where creativity, technical leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration are essential.
  • You will drive concept feasibility, system definition, and rapid prototyping to bridge cutting-edge technologies with real-world applications, ensuring scalable and manufacturable solutions.

Here are some of the EXCITING things you'll get to do:
  • Lead early-stage technology and system architecture development across electrical, embedded, and software domains.
  • Develop and evaluate product concepts through feasibility studies, modeling, and rapid prototyping.
  • Define system-level requirements, interfaces, and functional architectures aligned with product strategies.
  • Integrate cross-functional subsystems: electronics, sensors, firmware, mechanics into cohesive platforms.
  • Conduct system-level design reviews, trade-off analyses, and technical risk assessments.
  • Mentor engineers and foster a systems-thinking culture within the advanced development team.
  • Collaborate with global engineering, ID/UX, product management, and manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure early compliance with EMC, safety, DVT, and DFMEA standards and practices.

SKILLS:
  • Systems architecture and integration across electrical, embedded, and mechanical domains
  • Analog/digital circuit design: low-noise, A/D, D/A, filters, transmission lines
  • Power electronics: AC/DC, PFC, flyback, buck/boost, compliance with regulatory standards
  • Embedded systems: ARM, microcontrollers, memory interfaces, firmware co-design
  • Sensor integration: LiDAR, IR, ToF, IMUs, cameras, motion and proximity sensors
  • Wireless communications: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 433 MHz
  • Edge AI / ML implementation (a plus)
  • Rapid prototyping: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar frameworks

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
  • BSc or MS in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a senior technical leadership or innovation role
  • Proven experience in advanced development, preferably within consumer electronics or consulting for consumer product companies
