Through our platform, these healthcare organizations can ingest and manage all the data they need to transform their business by supporting their analytical, operational, and financial needs.

Since our founding in 2017, Abacus has built a highly successful SaaS business, raising more than $81 Million from leading VC firms with deep expertise in the healthcare and technology industries. We are solving problems of massive scale and complexity in a sector that is not only ready for disruption. We're growing quickly and would love for you to be a part of it!

About the Role:

The DevOps Team focuses on improving the telemetry around and availability of Abacus' product offerings while contributing to the sustainability of engineering practice throughout the organization. As the "engineers behind the engineers," we are responsible for a diverse set of tasks from across the DevOps spectrum. We work in many contexts, using many tools and technologies to remove obstacles and keep the rest of the engineering organization moving as efficiently and effectively as possible. We are a small, nimble team making an outsized impact.

You Will:

- Architect, build, and maintain secure, scalable, HIPAA- and HITRUST-compliant infrastructure on multiple cloud platforms (AWS and Azure)
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure
- Define DevOps architecture best practices and lead the strategic direction for CI/CD and infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Security teams to design and troubleshoot robust infrastructure solutions
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Python-based scripts to automate testing, validation, and deployment workflows
- Architect and manage containerized environments using Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, and self-hosted)
- Design and implement comprehensive monitoring and observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
- Drive design, implementation, and adoption of our custom Python- and Cloud-based deployment platform with an eye toward continuous delivery
- Be a leader and promoter of best practices both within the team and within the larger organization

What We're Looking For:

- 7+ years of development experience, including architecture and design of complex systems
- Deep cloud experience, AWS preferred
- Solid understanding of Linux systems administration and networking
- Experience implementing a CI/CD system using an industry-standard platform such as GitLab, Jenkins, or Travis
- Knowledge of containerization, specifically Docker and Kubernetes
- Fluent command of the tools of the trade, including Bash, Python, and Terraform
- Knowledge of best practices as related to designing and building efficient, maintainable, testable, portable applications
- Keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A team-first attitude, always looking to improve yourself and those around you
