Position Summary: 

We are looking for an experienced and passionate DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at FL100. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and IT operations, a keen understanding of the agile methodology, and a drive to automate and improve our systems, processes, and deployment pipelines. We seek an experienced DevOps Engineer to design and build a high-performance proxy server that efficiently manages 100K+ requests from our AI-powered application. This system will handle request queuing, load balancing, and prioritization based on user roles, ensuring smooth and reliable execution.

In this role, you will work with Celery, Redis, and backend logic to queue and distribute requests efficiently (We are open to tech stack suggestions) while maintaining system scalability and reliability. You will collaborate closely with the development team to optimize performance and ensure seamless integration with our existing AI infrastructure.

The ideal candidate must be an independent, open-minded, goal-oriented, technologically savvy engineer with sound common sense and business thinking, coupled with excellent communication skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with software developers, QA, and IT staff to manage code releases.
  • Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
  • Improve system reliability and performance through on-call rotation and process optimization.
  • Monitor software and systems to detect issues before they impact performance.
  • Manage and administer cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
  • Conduct system tests for security, performance, and availability.
  • Develop and maintain configuration management solutions.
  • Document processes and implement standards to streamline operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users and stakeholders.
  • Design and implement a proxy server to manage and distribute 100K+ requests efficiently
  • Develop request queuing and prioritization logic using Celery, Redis, and other backend tools
  • Optimize request routing and load balancing to ensure high availability and scalability
  • Maintain and improve AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CDK and CloudFormation
  • Build and manage containerized services using Docker and orchestrate them with AWS ECS/Fargate
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing
  • Monitor and fine-tune performance, including load testing and bottleneck resolution
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch and other tools
  • Ensure security best practices and compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve scalability and infrastructure issues
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends to improve efficiency and reduce costs/risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Ruby, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Strong experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or Splunk.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and security best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Certification in cloud platforms e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer
  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
