We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Cyber Software Engineer based out of San Antonio, Texas.

What you'll get to do:

  • Develop and integrate subcomponents of a cyber platform designed to support cyber warfighters.

  • Work in a team environment utilizing Agile processes, participate in agile ceremonies, and interface with the agile team(s) and other program staff as required.

  • Collaborate with external partners

  • Improve our continuous delivery pipeline, ensuring that we can roll out frequent, robust releases

Basic Qualifications for Principal Cyber Software Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience; Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience; or a PhD with 0 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • A final DoD Secret Clearance is required prior to start

  • Experience programming in Python and at least one other software language

  • Familiarity with CI/CD principles

  • Experience with Windows/Linux operating systems & Virtual Machines (VMs)

Preferred Qualifications for Principal Cyber Software Engineer:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Possess one or more active cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CASP+, GSLC, CSSLP, or other relevant credentials

  • Experience working with external partners

  • Additional experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • DevSecOps tools/techniques and implementation

  • Experience with containerization of software services (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Infrastructure automation experience with tools such as Ansible, Packer, Terraform, etc

  • Experience programming in C/C+

Salary Range: $107,300.00 - $160,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date. However, this timeline may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.
