This position reports to:

Pricing Manager

In this role, you will create and complete bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications and requirements to achieve market competitiveness with-in margins guidelines for the company. Maintains and improves the balance between all ABB units and customers ensuring alignment with ABB standards and targets while ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the process.

This role is contributing to the Electrification division in the United States.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Formulates competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial aspects for each situation.

  • Ensures tenders are well-documented in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.

  • Manages the planning and preparation of technical, financial, and, if required, project management aspects of the bid, estimate, and quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions.

  • Ensures that inputs for editing activities related to bid, estimate, and quotation preparation are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures.

  • Manages the collection and archival of documentation regarding the order/quoting and recording of assumptions and decisions made during development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 5+ years’ experience strongly preferred or 10+ years’ experience supporting Utility Electrical Industry in a technical, product marketing, or an industry supporting role

  • Ability to understand extensive product portfolio and how it applies/relates to the market,  providing value-added pricing

  • Sound knowledge of and extensive experience in Utility and Electrical Industry; specific ELIP Utility products and ABB preferred

  • Strong analysis, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills primarily in English

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage assigned workload.

  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and maintain performance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated ability to break down market data into strategic price offering. Proficiency in MS Excel

  • Always maintain and present in a professional and respectful manner.

  • Willingness to travel , 5-10%, more initially for training and to support activities that representing PL and MGN growth as needed

  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the United States
