The Mission Solutions Group at Amentum seeks a Pricing Analyst IV to lead activities associated with the development of cost/price proposals, including strategic planning, analysis, spreadsheet development, and budget analysis.  This is a remote-telework position; a candidate within driving distance to an Amentum HQ facility (Chantilly, VA, Fort Worth, TX, or Las Vegas, NV) is preferred or a candidate with the ability to travel 10-20% is preferred.  US citizenship is required.    

 

 

Principal Accountabilities

·         Oversees cost/price volume responses for medium to complex proposals with minimal supervision.
Prepares cost models, cost narratives and any other cost/price volume requirements.

·         Ensures compliance with the estimating system manual as well as other policies and procedures.

·         Performs quality assurance reviews to ensure that cost/price volume components are accurate and responsive to solicitation requirements.

·         Develops and implements proposal strategies for achieving company objectives.

·         Provides pricing guidance and support, as required, to field personnel performing pricing related activities.

·         Interfaces with Operations, Business Development and Functional Support groups to obtain/develop data necessary for developing prices or other components of a cost/price volume.

 

 

Knowledge & Skills

·         Understanding of proposal development and strategy that includes contract cost and pricing principles that translates efforts in acquiring new and follow-on business.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to review and write pricing narrative responses.

·         Knowledge of Federal Acquisition regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

·         Working knowledge of U.S. Government structure and agency acquisition procedures and policies for identifying and developing potential business opportunities.

·         Working knowledge of the components of basis of estimates and bills of materials.

·         Advanced Excel and mathematical skills.

·         Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with keen attention to detail. Must be able to work extended hours, often with short notice, to meet deadlines.

 

 

Experience & Education

·         Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline; two (2) years’ experience in contracts or pricing may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
Eight (8) years’ experience in cost proposal preparation or cost proposal development; relevant finance experience may be considered for some years in lieu of cost proposal preparation and development; 6 years’ experience with a Master’s degree.

·         US Citizenship is required.

·         Travel may be required to an Amentum HQ facilities, anticipated 10-20% travel.

·         Experience in base operations support, range operations, Space Force, NASA contracts is preferred.

·         A candidate within driving distance to an Amentum HQ facility (Chantilly, VA, Fort Worth, TX, or Las Vegas, NV) is preferred.
