Experience

  • 4–7+ years in sales or retail account management.
  • Experience within Off-Premise / retail environments (grocery, liquor, convenience, or chain retail).
  • Experience working with distributor sales organizations and merchandising teams.
  • Exposure to merchandising, category management, and in-store execution standards.
  • Foundational financial acumen with the ability to assess retail account economics, pricing, promotion effectiveness, display ROI, velocity, and commercial performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently identify opportunities, develop business recommendations, and influence stakeholders to improve commercial results.

Background

  • Strong understanding of category management, shopper behavior, and commercial execution.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and analytical ability to leverage business data, market trends, and field observations to identify opportunities and recommend actions that improve commercial performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing opportunities and allocate time and resources effectively.
  • Sound business judgment with the ability to operate independently, create clarity in ambiguous situations, and drive business outcomes through influence.

Leadership Expectations

The successful candidate will:

  • Think beyond individual accounts and prioritize opportunities that improve the overall Massachusetts Off-Premise business.
  • Bring recommendations supported by data and business rationale—not simply observations.
  • Use field experience, customer insights, and business analytics together to identify opportunities and influence commercial decisions.
  • Influence without direct authority by building credibility, trust, and strong business relationships.
  • Balance strategic planning with disciplined execution to deliver sustainable commercial growth.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve the business by combining field observations with business data to challenge existing assumptions and recommend better ways of working.
