As a Practice Manager at Catalant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day execution, coordination, and growth of our industry and functional Centers of Excellence (CoEs) - small groups of 10-20 consultants who specialize in specific functions or industries. Reporting to the Director of the Practice Community, this role is instrumental in:

- Setting up CoEs - i.e., selecting the consultants, getting them excited to participate, creating structures and routines, etc.
- Creating a meaningful COE steady-state by convening the Independent Consultants, creating value-adding collaboration opportunities, and connecting the Consultants with the Client Teams at Catalant
- Ensuring alignment with client demand and Catalant’s broader business objectives.

This is an ideal role for someone who is  resourceful and entrepreneurial, a strong communicator, and community builder who is excited to help shape the future of consulting. You’ll work closely with senior consultants, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams within Catalant.

What you'll do

  • Practice Community (PC) Operations and Onboarding. You will work with other Practice Managers to:
  • Run activities for the overall PC, including selecting consultants to join, onboarding them, mapping their capabilities, and supporting them in getting visibility and staffing opportunities.
  • Lead PC onboarding activities such as: reviewing nominations for new PC members (linked to opportunities available or growth areas), leading weekly info sessions for potential new PC members, and answering questions.
  • Organize communication channels such as town halls, newsletters, and slack channels to engage consultants.
  • Respond to practice-related consultant inquiries to connect them to the Customer Support team, and ensure a seamless experience.
  • Partner with the Sales to align consultants to client opportunities.
  • Run semi-annual reviews of who is in the PC and remove anyone who is no longer active or no longer an independent consultant, and remove PC members who do not meet professional standards.
  • Collect feedback and implement initiatives to improve the experience of consultants - this could be project-based, small improvements, or big ideas to change how we engage in a meaningful way.

  • Centers of Excellence (CoEs). You will independently stand up and lead CoEs focused on functional capabilities or industry segments, working closely with Sales and Marketing teams. Responsibilities will be to:
  • Create groups of 10-20 consultants who are committed to working with Catalant in their area of expertise, including creating a strong value proposition to participate, maintaining a strong group of members (refreshed over time), hosting regular touchpoints with engaging agendas, and encouraging members to support Catalant on business development and project delivery
  • Continuously improve and maintain these Center of Excellence by proactively solving challenges, refining processes, and iterating on established structures.
  • Codify reusable go-to-market offerings, tools, and templates in partnership with Consultants and Client Teams (sales)
  • Work with Marketing  to maintain libraries of case studies, diagnostics, and proposal-ready materials to accelerate client delivery and scale knowledge transfer.
  • Coordinate learning events or “enablement sessions” with consultants to help upskill the Client Teams on industry trends, how to sell bigger projects, and how to talk to potential clients about critical topics.
  • Collaborate with the Expert Products and Services team to identify relevant learning and development (L&D) content for Consultants, support design of the appropriate courses, and oversee their implementation where applicable.

  • Partnership with Marketing. Work with our Marketing team to:
  • Deliver in-person or virtual events that engage consultants, Catalant colleagues, and clients, including managing invitations, co-developing content, and gathering feedback for activities. These are in the form of roundtables, networking events, webinars, and community calls and will require periodic travel to event locations (approximately 1 time per month).
  • Support in the production and promotion of thought leadership content (i.e., articles, LinkedIn posts, etc.) featuring Catalant consultants.

  • Prior experience managing programs, communities, or senior stakeholders
  • Evidence of independently managing projects/programs end-to-end.
