Profile OverviewClient seeks a highly technical writer experienced in relational database systems, specifically PostgreSQL, to support an upcoming client workshop. The selected writer will transform informal and incomplete documentation into structured, insightful white papers that reflect EnterpriseDB’s expertise and value-add in the PostgreSQL ecosystem. Experience working with technical SMEs and parsing open-source documentation is essential.
Scope- Timeline: Immediate start through mid-November (approx. 2 months)
- Commitment: Approx. 130 total hours; may be structured flexible
- Work Format: Remote; US-based preferred but open to top talent globally
- Develop 7 white papers aligned with PostgreSQL-related topics
- Interpret technical outlines and expand them into structured documents
- Interview internal subject matter experts to supplement gaps
- Research and leverage open-source Postgres documentation
- Synthesize disparate internal documentation into cohesive content
- Produce content tailored for a technical audience of DBAs and application engineers
- Optional: create simple diagrams or conceptual visual aids
- Proven experience writing for technical audiences (DBAs, application engineers)
- Deep understanding of relational database systems; PostgreSQL expertise preferred
- Familiarity with topics such as IT security, database migrations, and high availability
- Ability to synthesize and transform raw documentation into polished content
- Excellent interviewing, research, and self-directed project management skills
- Ability to write clearly and quickly
- Bonus:
