This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.
The Secondary Portfolio Associate will serve as a member of the Secondary Portfolio team, which supports the Secondary group in raising and investing capital and plays a key role in the business operations of the Secondary team. The role will have exposure to a wide range of activities including marketing / fundraising activities, portfolio analysis and reporting, investment book management, and the investment process. The role will also be a Secondary group liaison with internal departments such as Accounting, Tax, and Investor Relations. Just a reminder that this role does not involve analyzing and completing Secondary investments.

- Managing Secondary group important metrics (like pipeline, deals reviewed, completed deals, deal flow, capacity, and pacing) and all HarbourVest programs
 - Regular maintenance of investment book of record, cash activity, and reconciliation to third party administrators
 - Prepare and manage all coordinating resources for the Secondary program, encompassing finances, distinct portfolios, and personal agreements.
 - Liaise with Accounting group on all aspects of financial reporting for Secondary funds as required.
 - Support Principals and Managing Directors and collaborate with Marketing on crafting and updating Secondary marketing materials, AGM, and Advisory Board materials.
 - Coordinate the preparation and maintenance of deal related marketing materials, descriptions, case studies, etc.
 - Manage separate account updates including capacity, deal updates, data room management and certain client communications.
 - Coordinate with RFP team in crafting data responses to Secondary related RFP materials.
 - And other responsibilities as required
 
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage KPIs, track records, and investment book reconciliations across multiple programs.
 - Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively across various departments, including Finance, Taxation, Investor Relations, and Marketing.
 - Experience crafting materials for client-facing purposes, such as marketing presentations, RFP replies, and updates for advisory panels.
 - Comfort with data management and reporting tools, and the ability to maintain accurate records for funds, separate accounts, and individual deals.
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support internal reviews, strategic discussions, and ad-hoc requests.
 
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A or B.S.) or equivalent experience
 
- 2-5 Years experience
 
Salary Range
$79,000.00 - $111,000.00This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
