The Platform Squad builds and maintains the infrastructure, tools, and systems that keep Resend running reliably, securely, and at scale, empowering our teams to build, deploy, and operate services with confidence.

This role is fully remote based in Americas or European timezones, with some expected travel for team offsites, conferences, meetups, and more.

In this role, you will…
  • Build and improve the platform that powers Resend, providing reliable infrastructure and tooling that enables engineers to move quickly and safely

  • Design and operate scalable cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS, with a focus on reliability, performance and security

  • Automate operational work and build self-service workflows that make common infrastructure and engineering tasks easier

  • Establish platform standards and patterns that help teams build, deploy, and operate services consistently

  • Improve reliability and observability across Resend, including participating in incident response and turning operational issues into lasting improvements

  • Partner with engineers across Resend to solve infrastructure and platform problems and build reusable solutions

You will be a great fit if you...
  • Bring 8+ years of experience across infrastructure engineering, platform, or SRE

  • Have strong experience managing production infrastructure as code, using tools like AWS CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi

  • Understand distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, including queues, workers, databases, caching, networking, and load balancing

  • Have solid working knowledge of AWS

  • Have strong experience with observability and monitoring, using tools like Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry

  • Are comfortable working across the stack, from load balancers and networking to delivery pipelines

  • Take ownership, communicate trade-offs clearly, and are comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask for help

  • Communicate clearly in written and spoken English and can consistently overlap with Americas working hours

  • Have operated high-throughput systems at scale

  • Have built internal platforms, developer tooling, or self-service infrastructure

  • Have worked on developer tools, public APIs, or email infrastructure

  • Have deep experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Go, and Postgres
